Worked perfectly once I swapped NVMe drives around.
I bought a 2TB NVMe drive in the sale and was going to swap out my 500GB drive, but realised this would let me use both. The card is easy to install and the drive worked perfectly. However, as some others have stated, the PC started hanging shortly after reaching the Windows 11 logon screen, then refused to boot at all because it couldn't see the NVMe drive on my motherboard. It appeared quite random and the PC would eventually boot. I changed PCIe slot, but that didn't help. Finally, I put my Windows NVMe drive on the card and the new NVMe drive on the motherboard. Hey presto, it works! I can't fault the card as it is presumably a BIOS issue (my motherboard was manufactured in 2019). NB: I also turned off UEFI for non-bootable drives in the fast start settings, but it didn't help in the original configuration. I'm not switching it on again, in case it stops working!

Great price & works well
I put a Crucial P2 1tb nvme into this and once I rebooted my pc it was instantly recognised. I did a crystal disk mark test and you can see the results. Full speed for this drive with no problems. I will definitely buy more of these for older pcs without an nvme slot. Very pleased with the results. I'm running windows 11 with an MSI B660M Pro-A Wifi motherboard.

Fantastic product
I received this very quickly and when i installed the m.2 drive it was very simple and no issue. Then installation in to my pc again was very easy. Would recommend and maybe look for the multiple drive cards in the future.

Working but ā¦
Working, but with Windows 10 problems, new Crucial NVME SSD was not working on my older NVME motherboard, so I thought Iād try this route and while it works mostly, sometimes when you return to the PC after an interval, it just freezes and requires a restart. May not be this productās fault, though, I thought perhaps mixture of new and old hardware is root cause.

Brilliant for expansion and speed
having 2 M.2 drives sometimes is not enough, so I decided to expand and get another, Buying this expansion pcie card was the only option and I have not been disappointed. I do a lot of video editing and having my video files on this drive and my video editing software on another drive really speeds up the process by about 60-70%. This is a must if you need more space or even if you dont have any M.2 slots on your pc. You need min PCIe x4 slot for this to work and the speeds given. * MB/s = 1,000,000 bytes/s [SATA/600 = 600,000,000 bytes/s] * KB = 1000 bytes, KiB = 1024 bytes [Read] SEQ 1MiB (Q= 8, T= 1): 3491.951 MB/s [ 3330.2 IOPS] < 2400.63 us> SEQ 1MiB (Q= 1, T= 1): 2668.699 MB/s [ 2545.1 IOPS] < 392.69 us> RND 4KiB (Q= 32, T= 1): 640.047 MB/s [ 156261.5 IOPS] < 198.24 us> RND 4KiB (Q= 1, T= 1): 54.500 MB/s [ 13305.7 IOPS] < 75.04 us> [Write] SEQ 1MiB (Q= 8, T= 1): 2595.561 MB/s [ 2475.3 IOPS] < 3224.64 us> SEQ 1MiB (Q= 1, T= 1): 2608.341 MB/s [ 2487.5 IOPS] < 401.56 us> RND 4KiB (Q= 32, T= 1): 445.025 MB/s [ 108648.7 IOPS] < 285.03 us> RND 4KiB (Q= 1, T= 1): 219.692 MB/s [ 53635.7 IOPS] < 18.52 us> Profile: Default Test: 1 GiB (x1) [G: 56% (262/466GiB)] Mode: [Admin] Time: Measure 5 sec / Interval 5 sec Date: 2022/04/26 12:28:04 OS: Windows 11 Professional [10.0 Build 22000] (x64)

Great product
Great way to add an M2 NVMe drive to your system. Be sure to use a PCIe Express 3.0 x4 slot for full speed benefits, this would normally be the second full length PCIe slot, with the first slot occupied by the graphics card. Used with a WD Blue SN550 NVMe and works great. Supports booting from the device if supported in bios and can be used in combination with onboard M2 slot(s) for RAID etc - I'm running a RAID1 configuration using one NVMe in the MB M2 slot and the second NVMe drive using this adapter, and it works great.

Doesn't work with PCIe Gen4
Works great with Gen3, zero issues with my Crucial P2/3, but using a P3 plus or P5 will cause issues. It shows up under Windows and Linux for a few minutes, then after a bit of disk action, it vanishes as if it was removed from the machine. It comes back if you reboot but then it repeats. Forcing link to Gen 3 does let it work however.

Works perfectly with Sabrent 1TB in older X79 system
Installed this on an older X79 Gigabyte motherboard in a x16 slot as this one was furthest away from graphics card and off the bottom of the case to give best air flow round it. The X79 has no onboard NVMe M.2 slot. Plugged in a Sabrent 1TB Rocket NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 (SB-ROCKET-1TB). On CrystalDiskMark the standard top line test SEQ1M Q8T1 test gave read 3410MB/s and write 3059MB/s No drivers needed and picked up the drive straight away. Only just set it up today but easy to install, comes with the screws needed and does the job it is meant to do.

This product work perfectly on a Linux RHEL9, on a PCIe 3.0 x16 hardware

Was a little worried it would be hard getting it to work. But everything was plug and play. Didn't have to fidget with bios settings. Just had in windows choose system type and format it and I was good to go. Fast easy and as promised.
