I bought this fishing hat for outdoor days, and it’s been a great choice. The wide brim offers excellent sun protection, and the UPF 50+ really gives peace of mind when spending long hours outside. It’s lightweight, breathable, and fits comfortably without feeling tight or heavy. I also like that it works well for both men and women and looks good with casual outdoor outfits. Perfect for fishing, hiking, or just being out in the sun.

The size written in the photo are a bit inflated, measures my sizable melon to make sure and it should've been fine but it is definitely made for someone with a smaller head. Good quality though, will pass on to a family member or friend.

I am taking a med that the manufacturer says may cause sun sensitivity. Soooo I spend 5 hours mowing weekly and fish on the finger lakes when ever I can, as well as walk 5 miles per day. The hat provides protection both for my face head and the back of my neck. The hat seemed to breath well in the 90 plus degree days. It seems to be well made and I am very happy with my purchase.

Living in a tropical climate and spending long hours outdoors, this sun hat is exactly what I needed. The wide brim, breathable face cover, and neck flap offer full protection without feeling bulky or hot. It’s lightweight, adjustable, and stays secure even on windy days. Whether I’m hiking, fishing, or just gardening, it keeps me cool and shielded. A must-have for anyone serious about sun safety and comfort!

I took one star off because the chin strap came broken. The detachable chin strap has plastic hooks that clip onto the underside of the hat; no big deal though, I'll just sew on both sides of the chin strap. The hat itself is very light weight. It has a wide brim to keep the sun out of your eyes and off your face. There is a piece of cloth at the back of the hat (non-detachable) that covers the back of your neck. There is an elastic band at the back to allow for sizing. To size down there is a little plastic piece you pull to cinch it tighter to your head. I feel like if you didn't have the chin strap, this might easily blow off your head, IF you have a smaller head, because the cincher in the back doesn't cinch that well. The front face covering is detachable, there are little plastic buttons that clip together to attach it to the underside of hat and back neck cover. I'd be careful removing/attaching the face cover from the buttons, they seem kind of fragile, so if you're too rough with them they might break. I have long hair, and although it doesn't have a hole to put a ponytail through, as long as you place your ponytail a little lower on your head, it won't cause problems wearing it. I dont feel like this would be a good hat for anything heavy duty, like if you were doing contruction work or hiking for days at a time, just good enough for you to do some summmer gardening, or use at outside gatherings like picnics or a concert. Overall, for the price it's a good enough hat.
