This new Waffle Crunch flavor is the bigger, bolder, crispier take on the original and the old thin wafers have now been swapped out with thicker, larger waffle shaped pieces. The cereal itself tastes largely the same, except there is an added maple flavor which blends perfectly with the also sweeter cinnamon flavors. Aside from the flavor, the main difference is the texture. With the larger waffle pieces, the cereal takes much longer to get soggy from the milk, and allows the cereal to stay crunchy for longer periods of time. This adds to a better eating experience from a texture standpoint, in my opinion, but those who prefer cereal when it is softer may not like this change. Overall, this cereal is excellent as it tastes incredible and is a worthy replacement for the original.
