Great set for beginners
As a complete novice in Chinese Chess, I was looking for a good starter set that would allow me to set up puzzles from apps and books and work through these. The set was bigger than expected which is fantastic for being able to differentiate between pieces, but small enough to be easily thrown in a backpack. Quality seems good, no issues at all Definitely recommended for someone getting into the game, or having a spare set for travel etc.

Lovely set
Bought as a gift. The recipient was thrilled with it. For those complaining the markers are too big and go across the lines -- I was concerned about this, too, it just doesn't look "right" when we're used to Western style chess or draughts. But apparently that's how they are supposed to be for this game!

Brilliant game for children to keep them away from gadget screens. I hope that there are more interesting toys and games (not on the screen) out there to keep children and parents entertained.

This is an amazing product. It's very suitable for travelling.

Good for beginners.
Ok this is not a high quality item ( I had to glue a couple of bits back on) and there were no instructions on how to play as the box claimed, however it is a nice little set and fit for purpose.I would strongly advise anyone who wants to learn the game to read Chinese chess for beginners by Sam Sloan and they may find this little chess set very useful.

The magnetic chess pieces doesn’t really stay on the board as the picture shows but it doesn’t effect the game
