INSTANT #1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER INSTANT USA TODAY BESTSELLER INSTANT #1 SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLER The former head of the Pentagon program responsible for the investigation of UFOs—now known as unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP)—reveals long-hidden secrets with profound implications for not only national security but our understanding of the universe. Luis “Lue” Elizondo is a former senior intelligence official and special agent who was recruited into strange and highly sensitive US government program to investigate UAP. To accomplish his mission, Elizondo had to rely on decades of experience gained working some of America’s most classified programs. Even then, he was not prepared for what he would learn, including the truth about the government’s long shadowy involvement in UAP investigations, and the lengths officials would take to keep it a secret. For years, Elizondo and his colleagues found themselves on the front lines of what may be the greatest mystery and cover-up in history. Unidentified craft that seem to defy our knowledge of physics—within air, water, and space—have been operating with complete impunity since at least World War II. The military, the CIA, and even past presidents have known the truth that humanity is, in fact, not the only intelligent life in the universe. The nonhuman intelligence controlling these UAP are actively conducting surveillance on our most sensitive military installations, and have interfered with ongoing military and nuclear operations. US service members and intelligence officers who have encountered UAP have sustained serious medical injuries. And all of this is happening worldwide. The stakes could not be higher. Imminent is a first-hand, revelatory account inside the Pentagon’s most closely guarded secret and a call to action to confront humanity’s greatest existential questions. This explosive account from a true government insider reveals: Government Secrets: What U.S. officials at the highest levels have quietly known for decades—and the elaborate effort to ensure the public never found out. Nonhuman Intelligence: Evidence that advanced non-human craft have been operating in restricted airspace—and interfering with nuclear facilities—for generations. A Threat to National Security: The documented physical toll on military personnel and intelligence officers who have had direct encounters with UAP. Advanced Aerial Technology: A close look at craft that operate across air, water, and space in ways that challenge everything we currently understand about physics. Review: WOW! Luis Elizondo is a brave national treasure. - This book really provides a well documented overview of the behind-the-scenes struggle for UAP disclosure with some very revealing juicy details about the UAP phenomenon. This topic is understandably a can of worms for the government and society at large. It raises more questions than answers, and I think it may be largely disturbing to the majority of the population. I believe this is why most people seem to go slightly unconscious when you talk to them about the topic. It’s almost as if it’s too much to consider and they’d rather not think about it. And really what could they do about it? So ignorance of the topic or feigning “no interest” in the topic is sort of a psychological and perhaps unconscious coping mechanism for a large part of the population. I think for many of us interested in this topic, it’s a sort of entertaining interest. But as I read through this book, you start to realize that there are some very serious implications. It appears as though there’s a lot of evidence supporting the fact that a very technologically advanced superior species is engaging with our planet. That raises a lot of questions. Who are they? Where did they come from? Why are they here? What are their intentions? And importantly, the powers that be do not want the public at large to know about this. That is a curious position. Why? You would think this information would be exciting to share, the biggest discovery of human history. One that could perhaps unite the planet around our shared humanity. Ironically, this information is considered top-secret and has been suppressed and denied at all costs. The most plausible reason this has been done is for national security reasons, akin to the nuclear bomb. A race to reverse engineer this technology in order to achieve technological global dominance first, similar to the race to achieve artificial super intelligence. Once the technology was mastered, the US could then contemplate Disclosure - but not before the objective was achieved. Besides, Disclosure might hamper these efforts and in an open society where the public would demand more and more information and details, which might accidentally tip our hand to our enemies and accelerate foreign adversaries programs to make contact, reverse engineer, and get there before us. And who’s to say these visitors wouldn’t ally themselves with some other nation and empower them ahead of the US, which could totally disrupt the balance of global power. I suspect that this is a very difficult situation for the US government, or any global superpower. I am for disclosing the truth, whatever that may be, however, I do empathize with the significance of the decision to do so. From a risk management perspective, the potential impacts could be existential to the existing global power structure. As a thought experiment, imagine for example if North Korea, Russia, or China accelerated their UAP contact efforts, as a result of US disclosure, and made a breakthrough in contacting them, and the visitors empathized with them for some reason and decided to support and give them advanced technologies. Such an outcome changes everything. I do believe the cat is out of the bag, and the likely course is a slow drip of increasingly more info. That seems to be the only course of action plausible. Another option is for the government (or NASA) to reveal a monumental scientific discovery along the lines of the James Webb telescope discovering definitive signatures of life elsewhere in the universe. This could massively deflect the conversation away from UAP in our neck of the woods, galvanize scientists, resources and interest across the world, and completely deflect the conversation away from UAP for a while. It could also act as a sort of good faith, formal government soft disclosure in preparation for ultimate disclosure. This could buy them more time to work on reverse engineering the technology, without disclosing what they already know. It’s safe to say that the future is going to be interesting. I recommend you buy this book and buy a few extra copies to share with friends and family. It’s a very exciting read and hard to put down. Great job to Lou Elizondo, Christopher Mellon, and all those involved. And I applaud those in government with the courage to tackle the subject on behalf of the American public and the world at large, so that we may better understand the truth and our place in the cosmos. Review: We Are Not Alone! - There are few books on the UFO/UAP subject that leave the reader with a powerful impact! A Very Good Book, But ...
Imminent is an eminently readable and enjoyable book -- It unfolds in a useful way and describes Gov't processes and bureaucracy in an accessible way without getting too bogged down in administrivia. Kudos to Lue. However, the book ultimately was unsatisfying to me. Too much 'inside baseball' about the machinations of the Pentagon and big government. There's an old saying about politics and laws being akin to watching the sausage being made and that's what this book is -- a lot of sausage making. However, I came for the juicy bits. Sure, there's some slight, tangential references to Nordics and Grays, Roswell and the UAP sightings, but ultimately, I wanted a significantly deeper dive into the alien portion of it, not just bureaucracy and UAP's. The UAP chapter where Lue goes into some theoretical underpinnings of alien technology is stellar however and worth the price of admission, even if the overall book left me wanting. I've watched a lot of Lue Elizondo guest appearances on podcasts, Reddit, mainstream news, etc. and I know, while he frequently stops short of giving his opinion, taking a 'just the facts' approach, there's a significantly larger body of work and knowledge and theories he has on Aliens and consciousness, the 4th dimension, aliens among us, etc. That's the stuff I want to read about. Alas, if you're a garden variety UAP skeptic, this will probably be a well-received book. However, if you have a keen interest in the subject, there's not much new information presented.

Interesting. Bizarre claims. Maybe they're true.
I've been following this phenomenon since I was a kid. It's incredible that there is so much mainstream attention on this unusual and typically fringe topic. I don't know if I buy some of the claims in this book. Regardless, very credible US military pilots, intelligence officers, former high ranking officials, reputable scientists and current politicians think UAP's are real, are not man-made, and are constantly flying around our nuclear power and weapons sites. The US Congress believed the topic was important enough to codify into law what they call "disclosure." This mandated disclosure by the Department of Defense and other government entities includes sharing with the American public any knowledge of retrieved, deceased non-human pilots and abandoned or crashed craft not made by humans and technologically superior to our current military tech. It appears we're talking hundreds or even thousands of years ahead of our capabilities. There must be something to these stories if Congress passed legislation and presidents recently signed them into law. So far, a few others aside from Elizondo have come forward, but the DoD, certain politicians and weapons contractors are still stonewalling per Elizondo. At this point, the tangible proof isn't available to us because everything is "classified," although congresspeople have been able to hear the testimony of witnesses and those that have direct knowledge of this stuff (some testified in SCIFs, where classified info can be discussed with authorized officials). The US Government also has radar and other sensor data, and compelling but grainy video released by the DoD in 2017. If Elizondo is to be believed, there's a fundamentalist Christian cabal keeping us from knowing the truth. "The Legacy Program" is a allegedly a conspiracy between major military contractors and entrenched government officials who don't want us to know that we are not alone in the universe -- and that they possess non-human bodies as well as exotic craft made by non-human intelligence which we've been trying to reverse engineer and weaponize for 70 plus years. I think Elizondo has done some great work over the years for his country, and if some or all of his claims are true, this is probably the most explosive knowledge in human history. It would mean that we are not the only intelligent life in the universe, and somehow other intelligent lifeforms (or space-faring drones of non-human origin) have mastered the ability to travel the cosmos faster than the speed of light. Also, it seems these beings are treating us like zoo animals, or they may be assessing our abilities for the impending interspecies/galactic war. If they are, with their seeming capabilities we're kind of screwed. If you're knowledgeable about "UFO lore," you'll know most of what's disclosed in this book. But it's still a fascinating read. For anyone new to this topic, be prepared for some wild and unsettling stories. I enjoyed it. I think with some fictionalization it could make a good conspiracy thriller TV series or movie.

A book EVERYONE should read
It seems that that many government officials, the media and the general public still haven’t grasped the reality of UAPs, formerly referred to as UFOs. Many of our military personnel, especially those who fly, have witnessed aircraft performing incredible and seemingly impossible maneuvers. These are often recorded by various means and corroborated by other witnesses and technologies. The author was in a position to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that this is not within US capabilities. Our government is not experimenting with such technologies that our brightest minds still don’t understand. Moreover, Elizondo knew that our known adversaries, such as China and Russia, also have no such capabilities. This technology is well beyond next level cutting edge. Elizondo possessed the highest levels of top-secret clearance and as someone entrusted by our government with understanding the nature of UAPs, he had access to all of this data. He managed to get three well-documented sightings cleared for public release, but he says that there are far more compelling ones that have not been released. In my estimation, Elizondo is a stand-up guy and you can trust his word. He paid a very dear price to join forces for public disclosure… a job he loved and a lucrative federal pension. I personally know the power of that pension as I hung on to a job I didn’t care for until my pension was maxed out. This book goes further than the claim that UAPs are real and piloted by non-human entities. After reading this book, you will come away with the understanding that Roswell was real, and that the US government (and probably others) are in possession of exotic alien spacecraft and non-human bodies. Another Pentagon insider with the highest level of clearances, David Grusch, testified before the U.S. Congress that our government has had these exotic craft for decades and is trying to reverse engineer them, and we are also in possession of “non-human biologics”. Perjury is generally a 5-year prison sentence, but it’s 7-years if it’s the US Congress. Grusch would be insane to perjure himself, and again this is someone who our government entrusts to the highest degree. While Elizondo doesn’t go into these issues, I have concluded that Bob Lazar was telling the truth way back in the late 80’s. The government tried to discredit him, and fortunately they didn’t kill him. Few believed him in any case. I also suspect that the Alien Autopsy video in the 90’s was real. Almost no one believed it was, even many of my fellow UFO enthusiasts. There has been a lot of disinformation thrown out over the years, presumably by the government to muddy the water and make the UFO community look like a bunch of crackpots. I am grateful to Mr. Elizondo for his courage and commitment to disclosure. I realize the need for secrecy in cases where we must protect an advantage, but if it comes to our Nanny-state deciding we can’t handle the truth… I beg to differ. Most of us can and it’s not for those we choose to serve ‘we the people’ to decide for us. I think they are also reluctant because they know that they will be bombarded with questions that they can’t answer, and that will make them feel vulnerable and helpless. Just look how Lue Elizondo handles it. We’re all in this together and you can’t tell us what you don’t know. So long as you don’t try to assume anything, it’s pretty simple. Just stick to the facts. I highly recommend this book. I give it my highest possible recommendation. I have bought extra copies to give to my family. I consider it required reading. But once you start you won’t want to put it down.

This should be required reading
"Imminent: Inside the Pentagon's Hunt for UFOs" by Luis Elizondo is a gripping exploration of the U.S. government's investigation into unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs). Elizondo, a former Pentagon insider who led the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), provides a rare and authoritative perspective on what the government knows about UAPs and the obstacles he faced in bringing this information to light. The book delves into the challenges Elizondo and his team encountered, particularly from within the Department of Defense, which often stifled their efforts due to the inability to explain or resolve the phenomena they were investigating. Elizondo makes a compelling case that these unidentified objects, with their advanced capabilities, pose a significant national security threat—a concern he likens to the oversight that preceded the 9/11 attacks. Throughout the 275 pages, readers are introduced to a plethora of military jargon and acronyms, which might overwhelm some, but also to in-depth explanations and diagrams that attempt to unravel the mystery of UAP propulsion. The book is also marked by several redacted passages, underscoring the sensitive nature of the information and the ongoing secrecy surrounding the topic. "Imminent" is not just a recounting of Elizondo's professional journey; it is also a call to action for greater transparency from the government. Despite recent disclosures about UAPs, Elizondo remains skeptical that the full truth will ever be revealed, a concern that adds an extra layer of urgency to his narrative. Overall, "Imminent" is an essential read for anyone interested in UAPs, government secrecy, and the implications of potentially encountering technology far beyond our current capabilities. It has quickly become a bestseller, reflecting the growing public interest in this once-taboo subject. For those intrigued by the intersection of national security and the unknown, Elizondo's "Imminent" is an eye-opening and thought-provoking account that leaves readers questioning how much we truly know—and what might be withheld from us.

Exciting information, even for those familiar with the subject
I started seriously looking into the UAP phenomenon after watching the congressional hearing last year, and was amazed by what I found-- legitimate papers from the Australian government documenting the US crash retrieval program and disinformation campaign against the American people... UAP sightings so numerous and similar in account over multiple decades... accounts of UAP interfering with our nuclear weapons... Investigative journalists talking on record about an underground arms race to reverse-engineer UAP technology... I read/watched everything I could find and even still: This book had new information that made my head spin. Like spin to the point where I had to stop multiple times to take in the extent and gravity of it all. I had to keep reminding myself to keep an open mind, because so much of it seems extreme to where you say to yourself "this can't be happening!" and yet here it is being spoken by some of the most decorated credible officials in our government... And this is from someone that's already researched the literature that's out there!! This is an absolute must read. Like the forward says, Lue is one of those men that, due to his honesty and integrity, will change the course of human history. I am so glad he's written this book to detail his story. What he's done, the governmental hurdles he's gone through, and what he's seen are indispensable and shed light on SO MUCH that's been speculated on for years within the UAP community. Like he says, this topic is imminent and the truth is coming sooner rather than later. We're in for quite the wild ride.

Disappointing
I almost never read about UFOs (here called UAPs) but was interested in Elizondo's work given his participation in a Pentagon program. The result was not at all what I expected. With respect to Elizondo's military and civilian service to the country -- and folks like him deserve great credit -- I was seriously puzzled by several aspects of the book. It is written in what can best be described as a breezy manner that sometimes becomes just rambling. Elizondo criticizes the military for its bureaucracy (who hasn't?) but then falls into an endless alphabet soup of agencies and titles that aren't well distinguished from one another. The program he was involved in appears to have been so frugally funded that it's hardly a drop in the military bucket, $22 million over 5 years, which raises the question of how seriously anyone really took its mission. Some of the people cited in his work have very odd backgrounds that don't inspire a lot of confidence. A number of spectacular claims are mentioned so casually and without support that it's very difficult to grasp what might support them. He claims, for example, that balls of green lights floated in and out of his home as well as the homes of other team members (blue light balls are apparently more dangerous); unnamed people experience serious medical damage from some UAP encounters and are treated by unidentified "doctors"; a private aerospace corporation has sole possession of a genetically-examined alien body; the Vatican is examining "past records" to identify earlier alien encounters; and a "remote viewing" training program allegedly unleashed staggering visual powers in people. Such unusual claims require a good deal more support than a casual personal witness. The book ends with an entirely speculative fantasy about what makes "warp" time and space travel possible. I did not find any of this persuasive. The book never takes a serious look at why UAP encounters entered public discourse only after books, comics, and movies first described them and thereby made them conceivable by people. Nor is there any serious attempt to address why aliens would go to so much trouble to overcome the limitations of space and time travel to repeatedly visit us over many decades. Are we really that interesting? Don't they have somewhere else in the multiverse to visit? If they want to conquer us, one would guess that their unimaginably advanced technology would have made that possible a long time ago. So I'm left think, as before, that something doesn't add up about all of this.

We all need to unite to solve the uap problem
As an Brazilian I didn’t know about the serious issue that is the UAP represent. It’s a threat or an opportunity to human evolution? For me it appears to be a threat and to prevent it the earth best minds, and I’m saying earth, not only USA minds need to be working in it. It’s outrageous learn that some Americans defending companies interests are working against a thing that can represent the human being extinction or worst. God Bless and save us humanity!

The truth is out there !
A real eye opener. This book by Luis Elizondo is brilliantly written. It took a lot of courage for the author to make public what he knew given the risks he knew he would face. I personally have seen UAP years ago when I was a budding amateur astronomer and let me tell you it changed me in a very good way. We are not alone in this universe and anyone who thinks otherwise has their head buried in the sand. Highly trained American Jet Fighter pilots encountered flying objects “tic tacs” (because of their shapes) that simply outperformed their jets capabilities. The technology of these UAPs was staggering to say the least and light years ahead of any man made flying jets. We as global citizens have a right to know about alien life forms visiting our planet. Yes we can handle the truth. Buy and read the book . It will inform and educate you.

Impactante
