I purchased these ice packs specifically to use in a cooler while transporting groceries, and I intentionally ordered the “extra large” size because I wanted something capable of keeping an entire cooler cold for an extended period of time. Imagine my surprise when they arrived and were literally about the size of my hand. I am honestly very confused about how these are considered extra large because I cannot even imagine how tiny the smaller sizes must be. To be fair, the ice packs themselves do technically work. They freeze properly and stay cold for a decent amount of time once frozen. I also appreciate that they come in pink, which is a fun touch compared to the usual plain blue ice packs. However, the biggest issue is simply the size. They are so thin and small that they are basically useless for anything larger than a lunchbox. I think these would probably work okay for a child’s lunch bag or a very small insulated tote, but they absolutely are not suitable for cooling a full-sized cooler. I genuinely feel like the product was incorrectly labeled on Amazon because the size description is very misleading. I also think they were rather expensive considering how small and thin they are. Overall, while they technically function as ice packs, I would not recommend them if you are specifically looking for something large enough to keep groceries or a cooler cold.

I love these ice packs, although I wish they were a tad bit larger. I love the fact that they are flexible, EVEN when they're frozen. Makes it much easier to fit the ice packs in a lunch box and wrap them around only what needs to stay cold. They are good quality, and definitely worth the price. They stay relatively cold, but they could definitely stay cold a little bit longer. They are thick enough to hold a good temperature, but thin enough to still flex. A good purchase.
