Reliable, quick and easy
I had been looking for an adapter to get wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay in my car. I bought this on sale during Prime Big Deal Days last year. There were enough reviews saying it was a little slow to connect that I was a little concerned but there's never a time when I jump in my car and immediately take off and need connected immediately. To my surprise this connects almost as fast as my wired connection. When I unlock my door the USB port power turns on so once I'm in the car and start it, my phone has already connected to the dongle and is just waiting on the infotainment system to finish booting. I did have a problem with updating the dongle to the newest firmware just before Christmas. I contacted customer service and they quickly gathered my information and provided step by step instructions and I was back up and running almost instantly. The only delay was getting the time to go through the steps but it didn't take more than like 5 minutes. I highly recommend this dongle. It was worth it and now I'm probably going to be getting a few more of them for family members.

Only tested with Android Auto so far
The device is easy to pair to a single device. I have not tested switching from one device to another yet. Works great with one caveat. Pros: - Plug and play in my car initially - Easy to pair with my Pixel 7 Pro - Small enough to hide in the center console. Does not interfere with the limited storage space. Allows clear access to the second USB port. - Once connected, Android Auto runs great. No issue with screen resolution, sound or lag. Cons: - After a couple of uses, I noticed that Android Auto would sometimes not load in my car's infotainment center. I had to press and hold the home button to "wake up" the screen. This happened every time that I started the car. -- Troubleshooting steps taken: - Turned off the Bluetooth connection (phone to car) but left phone's Wi-Fi on. This did not resolve the issue. - I checked for an update for the adapter and found that the firmware was already up-to-date. - I contacted MSXTTLY customer service and they told me to enable developer settings in Android Auto and try the following: - Select Wireless Android Auto (this was already set) - Check "Allor car and phone to negotiate" for Video Resolution After making the above changes, I still had the same issue. Their CS told me to select either Mode 1 or Mode 2 under Delayed Start to see if either resolved the issue. They did not. I had my car set to start the camera view on start. When I turned this feature off, the adapter worked as designed. It appears that there should be a customizable delay to accommodate this feature so that I can utilize both. Overall, I am pleased with the device. I no longer have to connect my phone each and every time I get in the car. I will, however, still connect for long trips simply to keep my phone charged. Wireless is more beneficial when running multiple errands all day.

Unstable
I bought this to use in my husband's 2025 Hyundai. He has an iPhone, I have a Pixel. The set up was ok although the interface was out dated. It never connected to either phone correctly again. Neither phone would connect, just got the black setup screen. After much unplugging, plugging back in, restarting the car, etc *maybe* it would connect. My husband finally brought it in the house and said "send this piece of **** back." I bought an AAWireless dongle for my phone for use in his car. Worked flawlessly. He went back to using his CarPlay dongle. It'll do until he trades his phone in for an Android. I have years of experience setting up home automation gadgets and flaky components. This is the worst. Maybe it's the Hyundai, I don't know, but all other dongles work fine.

Good adaptor and meets my needs
I have had issues plugging my android directly into the USB for my car because it doesn’t charge it well. When I saw how this worked I thought it was the perfect solution to my problem. I could plug the device into the USB and still charge my phone like I normally would. When I got the device I followed the directions, but still had problems with it telling me that it needed an app. I contacted them and they were able to send me a video that walked me through the steps and I figured out what I was missing. I have been using it for a week and it has worked pretty well. For a couple days my device was getting quite warm, but I had stopped and was waiting for a friend and was using my phone forgetting that I was still connected to the device. So now I leave my phone off or remember to disconnect the device if I’m sitting and using my phone. I listen to a lot of audio book in the car and it will start up like it should, but this morning it wouldn’t connect and moved me 10 chapters ahead. So I will continue to play with it and see what happens. Right now I am happy with it and able to have my directions on my car screen. I am able to use my cars voice button and tell Google what I need, that is very helpful since I am driving an hour to and from work daily. I can tell it, “make a task…” as I think of things that I need to take care of for my day. I am taking a trip soon and will be able to see how it does on a long ride.

Top convenience factor, music and maps good
USB Wireless Android Auto USB Adapter Its been working really well. The sound quality is better than Bluetooth but not as good as a physical USB cable connection. Google maps works well enough. Every time I start my car it will automatically connect within 10 seconds without me having to do anything, which is really the top convenience factor of this module. If you're itching to have top music quality then just plug your phone back into the USB cable, but I find that throughout the work week and running errands I am content with the sound quality. Overall I would highly recommend this USB adapter.

Worked, but Overheated Phone
Connectivity was fine and the device works. However, using it really heated up my phone. I'm not sure if the phone manufacturer, Google, the car maker (trying to preserve their subscription model), or the device maker is at fault. However, nobody wants to kill their phone, so be very carefull using this.

Great customer support!
I purchased this item in July 2024. It was easy to pair with my Toyota Camry and worked flawlessly. Fast forward to June 2025, I began to have problems with the unit losing connection with my Camry, then it stopped working altogether. I sent an email to their customer support team and was contacted the next day asking for some brief information which I sent. They immediately sent instructions for updating the firmware and said if this didn’t work to let them know and they would make things right. The firmware update (which was very simple to do) fixed the unit. It is now working again! This company stands by their products! I would not hesitate to purchase from them in the future!
