AnimalBiome Pill Putty Wrap Paste for Dogs and Cats (Peanut Butter)

My senior dog has no teeth so small pills fall right out of his mouth. This works great for him. It has a soft consistency like Play Dough and he apparently loves the taste because he devours it.

My cat had no idea I was placing her meds in the putty.

I have a cat with severe allergies who can only eat hydrolyzed chicken. She recently began rejecting her pill wrapped in her special diet food. She can't have anything else except that food. I ran this by the vet and got the green light with high hopes. Unfortunately, she rejected it - cough/gagged on it. I tested it on my other kitty who doesn't have allergies and will eat anything and she wouldn't touch it. The ingredient list includes Hickory Smoke flavor. I'm wondering if that is the ingredient that is not appealing? But regardless, not a solution for cats.

I have a picky dog with no teeth who has to take two pills a day. You can imagine that this can be challenging. This pill putty works very well for us. He likes it, and I can get a chunk that is just larger then the pill so he eats it with no problems. This stuff really is the consistency of putty. If you have used Pill Pockets, picture a jar filled with the substance they are made from, but a little stiffer. That describes this. However, my dog will not eat the name brand Pill Pockets, and he loves this putty. My only disappointment is that the container is smaller than I expected. I think the price is pretty high for this amount. You can get an idea of the size in my images. My other dog gets jealous of her brother when he gets some of this, but it is too expensive to give her as a treat. The expiration date on the jar I received is about one year from the date it was received. If giving pills somewhat regularly, that is plenty of time to use up this amount. Overall, this product works well with our picky dog, and I am pleased with it.

So I had a stray cat that needed medication and he would not touch it. I tried putting it in food. The bacon paste wrap worked once but never again. lol he would not even eat this in its own, but I put it in some soft chicken and salmon cat food and he cobbled it up not realizing it was different than the rest of the food. Thank you thank you!!!

My dog also takes the fecal transplant pills from this company. This company revolves their products around sensitive stomachs. My dog is 14 and has advanced GI Disease. This hydrolyzed putty does not upset his stomach. The only thing I would change is the size of the container. My dog is on 10+ pills a day so I go through a container every few days but as long as his stomach is happy I will buy in bulk! If they ever do make bigger containers I will be purchasing those.
