How many amps on a DC load are they rated for, 12-14v in particular.

Id say 20 amps, but theyre cheaply made. Had one fall apart while handling. I wouldnt use these in an area thats hard to get to. Any hardware store should carry these, although more pricey, i wish i wouldve paid more for better quality.

How would I go about hooking this up to toggle on and off a computer?

I've used one to toggle a computer power supply on that I used for my 3-d printer, there are guides you can google, but basically you just need to connect the green wire and a black wire from the big 24 wire cable that goes to the mother board. These are low voltage wires but it still works.

Will this work if you hool up a light directly to this switch and to the battery?

I think you wanted to say hook up not hool up you can hook it up directly I run extra lights front an back heavy candle power I like going offroad at night they work just fine

Great room heater replacement switch

Great price on this item and excellent switches. I installed this on a 1500 watt room heater after removing the faulty switch. This switch is much sturdier than the one I pulled out and has better specs. Very happy with the switch and looks great, but doesn't match what I pulled out, I can live with that and it doesn't look that bad... I now have heat and a working switch!

Nice toggle switch for repairing equipment.

Needed to replace several 120v toggle switches on some pieces of equipment. These worked perfectly. Nice solid feel and snappy engagement between off and on positions. Rubber toggle covers are a nice bonus for protecting switch against grit and grime. Good value.

Good price for 5 toggle switches.

I bought one toggle switch at my local chain car parts store, and paid 8 bucks for it. It was all plastic housing, had no "on-off" markings, and the plastic nut stripped immediately. That was a terrible experience. I looked here on Amazon for a better option and I found this 5-pack for less than 9 bucks. They have metal housing and metal toggle and metal "on-off" face plate. The order arrived in two days. Yesterday I took my dash apart for the umpteenth time and replaced the junky plastic toggle with one of these. They even came with plastic (silicone?) cover for the toggle that also extends a one piece to cover the tightening nut. Overall this is a very good deal. 5 for the price of one.

They work very well.

They work. On a couple flashlights that the off on switch broke, I attached one of these to proper wires and I now have a flashlight with this switch attached to turn it on and off. Okay, it doesn't look as good as it did before, but it works!!!

Damaged Naameplates

The on/off nameplates on each switch are bent, scratched and damaged. I don't know if this happened when the nameplate was screwed onto the switch. The nameplates at least look like they were installed on another switch and may be used units. Make me wonder if the switches are unused.
