I don't know what other people use these for, but I specifically bought this to use with a fog machine in hopes of doing 2 things. 1) Increase the volume of fog produced 2) Create a denser fog that has a better chance of laying low to the ground. In the past, I had constructed "chillers" to decrease the temperature of the fog. Those worked reasonably well, but you're always fighting whatever the ambient temperature is. Enter the ultrasonic mister. Instead of trying to create colder fog, you can create more dense fog because it has more water content in it. This thing works like charm. I paired this with a this fog machine (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B67RPJNR?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1), a Husky brand 27 gallon insulated box that I got from Home Depot -- you'll need some PVC fittings to direct fog in and out and it worked like a charm.

I purchased this item to use in my Halloween cauldron, and I am super happy with the results! It required only a few water refills throughout the night (approximately 3 hours) to keep up a consistent mist. The LED lights changed colors at a rate that was not too fast (like most cheap ones) and were the perfect level of bright. It was easy to assemble and use. I’ve never spent this much on a mist machine, but the price was well worth the cost. Lots of compliments on the cauldron!

This produces a lot of must/fog and worked great for a Halloween effect. The unit gets very hot so be careful handling it after it's been on for awhile. It seems to be solidly built. It fits in a medium size plastic tote from target and isn't too big to use. It was very easy to setup and take down the same night, and is a great value for the price.

I think the electrical voltage should be compatible with the GCC countries. Some European products do not work in the Gulf. I could not connect the electrical current because the plug is different.

This works but gets hot, I have used it in salty water and it's great

The Fogger blew up and caught fire in the first use as soon as it was plugged in, there was smoke everywhere. The instructions were followed to the detail. It was extremely dangerous and I donot recommend buying this. It is a health hazard.
