Raddy AG7 Weather Station Wireless Indoor Outdoor Thermometer, 7.4'' Digital Color Display Atomic Weather Clock, Temperature Humidity Monitor with Weather Forecast and Barometric Pressure

I bought this product to replace my aging Accurite system, which required a PC to collect/upload the data to Wunderground. I had repaired that unit a number of times but it was becoming problematic/unreliable, and frequently lost the sensor signal for periods of time.. This Raddy unit has been in service for a month now, and has functioned flawlessly. The sensor and base unit are about 150' apart, but the signal seems just fine even though the two devices are on opposite sides of the house from each other, so it's not a clear line of sight. Installation was pretty easy, and the base unit easily connected to my router and existing Weather Underground account. It started uploading data immediately and it was nice to see my Wunderground station logging data again. Because the sensor is mounted on a pole, attached to a solar-powered shed, 14 feet in the air (above ground level), changing the batteries on a regular basis isn't feasible, so I modified the sensor unit (I know this voids any warranty) so it can also use an external power supply. In this case, the power supply is 12v DC from the shed's solar system/battery, reduced to the correct voltage (about 4.8v DC) using a DC-to-DC "buck" converter. Wires are soldered to the PC board battery terminals inside the sensor unit as shown in the pictures, and are routed out of the inner case and down the inside of the mounting pole. A small slot had to be cut in the inner case cover for the wires to exit, and the mounting pole receptacle needed a small hole drilled so that the wires could be routed down the inside of the mounting pole. Guy wires are used to keep the pole from swaying in the wind (it can get very windy here) which can cause the rain sensor to erroneously register rainfall, otherwise it's a very clean-looking installation. In the end, the system will on autopilot with no human intervention required. Thus far, I'm quite happy with this system, and would recommend it. I will update this review if/when anything changes.

After 11months and 12 days the outside unit stopped working tried charging the batteries, but no luck. I feel this product isn’t the one to purchase don’t waste your money!!!!! I contacted the manufacturer and told them about the failure, They replace the both the outside and inside units at no charge the new ones are working fine.

Update after having for 6 months. The only thing it’s accurate on is the temperature. The wind is totally off. Right now the wind according to the weather app is 22mph with gusts at 30+ this weather station out in the open is saying 6mph. It also has NOT been recording any rainfall. It’s too late to send back … but I will not purchase again. We haven’t put it in its permanent spot yet to get the real wind speed. It’ on our deck & took about 5 days to sync everything. Everything seems to be working well. Hopefully putting it further out in yard it’ll still sync with the display.

Easy setup and connection. I had it up and running it less than 5 minutes. The screen is easy to read and has a lot of information. I have one dial type thermometer and a remote style thermometer and they are all pretty consistent with each other. It hasn't been windy since I installed it but he has recorded light breeze. All in all it's a pretty nice weather station so far. I would recommend.

Every thing seems to work except the rain gauge, the rain gauge has never worked. Has a long range from the outdoor unit to the inside. Have had it for over a year and have only replaced the batteries once. Seems like it’s hard to get to the settings but I think I’ve figured it out.

VP7 weather station, purchased with extra remote sensor. The system works extremely well - better than I expected. * Directions were written well and you can also print them from the website in full size pages, much easier to read * Purchased the extra remote sensor for my barn and it has performed very well. (The temperature and humidity readings are with a degree or two of the hygrometer.) Makes it really convenient to look at the display and know what the temperature is without having to go out and check. * Digital display is wonderful and easy to read. Took only a few minutes to set it up and the readings are pretty accurate. * Customer Service is outstanding. Had a minor issue with one of the readings so I emailed Raddy tech support through Amazon and received a thorough response from Irene detailing how to fix it and how to check that it is correct afterwards. The company was responsive and followed up to ensure that my problem was solved, A++++ Overall I’m pleased with this purchase and confident that the company is selling a good product and will stand behind it

Después de configurar la estación meteorológica Raddy WF-120P con el sensor inalámbrico 7en 1 (todo perfecto), al intentar conectar el sensor inalámbrico R5, ha sido totalmente imposible. Lo he intentado repetidas veces en los tres canales disponibles y no se enlaza.

Light sensor doesn't report reasonable data (in w/m**2). The values are far too low despite the UV index being reasonable (data conversion problem?). Temperature readings are a degree or two high in direct sunlight despite the white shielding. I opted for a secondary temperature and humidity sensor and put it in a more sheltered location. The station is fairly easy to set up and the wi-fi has maintained contact for a full week now. If there's anything left after this winter I'll consider it a win.
