Review: Easy to use and pleasantly accurate - Bought this to find paint to match re-plastered patch on big ceiling where the original brilliant white had faded. Took multiple readings which were very consistent. Had paint mixed to shade and it is spot on. Only challenge is that is provides Hex, RGB codes etc but not RAL (which was what the paint supplier needed). However, a couple minutes online soon resulted in a Hex to RAL conversion

**Q: I want to scan various human face areas to create paint colours for portraits- will this do that ?**
A: I don't think it would be as accurate as it is for solid items as it bounces light off the subject and skin may be a bit too translucent to give a surface reading

**Q: Can i get good good match with Dulux paint as well ?**
A: Just supply the paint store with either NCS or RAL code and they should be able to mix the paint.

**Q: Wil this scan Dulux paint**
A: It will scan Dulux paint, however it doesn't identify the specific Dulux paint colour on the app.

**Q: What is the difference between the colourreader pro and the cheaper colourreader? thanks**
A: Believe it’s to do with the licenses for colour charts / profiles which is more limited on the non Pro version 

Works well but not perfectly- but we find it very useful professionally

Great product if you need to scan F&B paints in UK. If you need specify other paints, then you need to buy for the software that's coming with the app.
