Game-changing. You should probably just buy it.
However, I've written a bunch more for you to read in case you are, like me, one who likes to make super-informed decisions about ~$20 purchases. I'm dealing with hypermobility issues and POTS, so sleep is a precious commodity, and often has a pain trade-off when I do get it. This pillow has been a big part of shifting that, and I now wake up feeling more rested. Full disclosure, I'm using it in conjunction with several other products, shown in the numbered list below. This pillow is small and light, so it's easily portable and I can use it in many ways beyond what I expected. I take it to the couch to support my back while I watch TV, wedge it between my legs from knee to ankle when I sleep on my side and need outer hip support, rest my head on it/in it (it's as soft as it is supportive) when I have a migraine or neck ache. Notably, due to its shape and weight, it tends to stay put even if I prop it up against the back of the couch for said head/neck support. Great for the days when I have that stupid kind of migraine that doesn't make me a full invalid, just unable to work or read or see anything closer than a big-screen projector image. The widened shape at both ends helps keep my neck/hips/whatevah exactly where I want them to stay, without triggering my body's overzealous muscle response to try and keep my joints stable. That is a huge thing for folks on the hypermobility spectrum, including those with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos. The only disclaimer on the pillow shape is that I have a somewhat long torso, and I would say that this is the perfect size for an average-to-long back on someone 5'4" or above. However, numerous reviewers have mentioned that the center part is too tall for folks who are petite or have a short torso. I also detect some despair at finding any pillows that are narrower at the center than this one. For those folks, I send you love (along with envy for the ease with which you wear rompers and 1-piece swimsuits) and humbly offer the following suggestions: 1. Open up this pillow's inner cover and trim the center area to your perfect dimensions with a boxcutter / X-acto knife blade. It's memory foam, so although cutting will open up the porous part a bit more, your pillow should still hold up well as long as you always keep it covered. The bonus is that, after custom shaping, it will then have proportionately larger sides, which will give even greater stability to your back/neck/[insert body part] while you sleep. However, if you're allergic to sharp objects or just not game for a sculpting project, kindly proceed to the next suggestion. 2. Try the Sidney Sleep pillow in the "Travel Mini" size: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B619JZ1M?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2&th=1 Similarly, this pillow has a moon-shaped bottom edge for stability and comfort. It listed as being 19"x14", and the stuffing is zippered in and customizable, so it may be more easily adapted to your size needs. Depending on your ideal size and how much bulk you remove, the memory foam stuffing may or may not end up being as firmly contained as you prefer. But it's probably worth a try, and I can vouch for product quality. I rest my head on the Queen Size pillow each night, and find it extremely comfortable at the standard fill (they also provide extra stuffing for those who prefer a firmer pillow). As of this writing, the white-colored Travel Mini pillow is having a significant sale. Worth it at regular price, too. 3. For those with a very short waist area, or with sciatica radiating into the legs, and/or with sharp pain in the low back/hips, consider searching Amazon for "fabric door draft stopper." There are a number of them on this site that are ideally-shaped for lumbar support, and I know from experience that they work. Years ago, when I was literally a starving student, I was also coping with an extended bout of severe sciatica. I didn't have access to decent health care, and got desperate enough to try anything I could access: Dollar-Tree pool noodle, rolled-up towel, folded edge of an old pillow, etc. I happened upon one of these, and its combination of softness and firmness, along with the narrow shape, really helped ease my sciatica so I could sleep better. Last but not least, a general recommendation for anyone who struggles to sleep comfortably: 4. Buy this mattress topper: Niagara Sleep Solution Ultra Thick Shredded Memory Foam https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FVYBGN7D?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1 ...and this cover to protect it from spills, so you never have to wash it: BEDLORE Waterproof Mattress Protector https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FXX6ZPJS?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2&th=1 This topper was my third try at finding one with actual support, and it's a charm. Not too heavy or thick, just cushy and soothing and supportive. I can be a hot sleeper, but very comfortable even in higher temps. Falling asleep faster and staying asleep longer since I got this. Currently on sale, but always very affordable, even at its regular price. In conclusion: Rest well, my pretties. And may the schwartz be with you.

Surprisingly helpful for back spasm sufferer!
My wife has been dealing with a terrible back spasm for nearly a month and sleeping was very difficult for her, she just couldn't get comfortable. I purchased this pillow in hopes it would help her. Once it arrived, we both were skeptical, because it isn't very thick, but for her, it worked out very well. It helps keep her spine aligned and allows her to sleep comfortably every night. It doesn't feel hot. It is very easy to take with you on vacation or wherever you need to go. It seems to be very durable. She has been using it for just a few weeks now and it has made a big difference in her sleep quality!

Soft with low firmness
I purchased this lumbar support pillow due to my chronic back pain, seeking relief while I sleep. Since using it, I have experienced improved support for my lower back, which has alleviated some discomfort during the night. However, I have noticed that the pillow, initially quite firm, has flattened somewhat over time. Additionally, it tends to be softer than I would prefer and lacks the length I need for optimal support. Overall, while it has its limitations, I would rate it a B for its effectiveness in providing lower spine support and its easy-to-clean material.

The Best Support Pillow Ever - a Bedridden Review
By far my favorite support pillow I’ve invested in. That’s a heck of a thing for me to say specifically because I have a bunch of different kinds of support bed pillows (I’m bedridden). I’ve got stuff from several sizes of wedge pillows to half circle bolsters, to the giant pregnancy full body U shaped pillows that can circle around you and basically turn into several different types of pillow for your needs, various types of surgical support pillows…even stuffed animals that can be used like support pillows but honestly shouldn’t be for long periods of time because it will make them look funny after a while…(sorry pickle squishmallow…) But this one simple looking lumbar pillow? You’d be surprised at how sturdy it is, how comfortable it is, the fact that I have used it every single day since I bought it and it is still the same shape, the size of it fits on my bed (and my side of the bed) perfectly. It conforms to my back in just the right way. It eased that area of my body that the other pillows i had just…weren’t doing. I would get “bed support pillow systems” that included some kind of “lumbar support” pillow but they never really worked out. They always became malformed and just didn’t stay together. If anything because of how physics work when I lay down, that pillow ends up becoming more of a “thoracic support” pillow. Which…defeats the purpose you know? But this pillow? It will stay where you need it to. The cover it comes with is so lovely. Now, this might be TMI for some folks but hear me out because a specific set of folks will want to know this information: I am a very VERY sensory avoidant autistic person. So I am very particular about fabrics and how they feel. And since I am bedridden, I tend to not really wear much clothing when I’m in bed so my bare skin of, say, my back, is going to be touching this pillow and the case on a regular basis. And here’s the thing: it is exactly what it says it is. It’s very cooling and it stays that way all through the night. It’s even better if you have some kind of small bedside fan going because if you move at all and the cover gets exposed, when you move back into the exposed part of the cover, it’s nice and chilled again. It feels AMAZING on my low back which is very frequently very much in tons of pain (having a chronic pain condition really sucks like that). This pillow by itself has significantly increased my quality of life. I wish I had bought it sooner. I had it on my wishlist for ages before I got it…after getting it, I am so wishing that I had just gotten it way back when I first saw it. My hope is that those who see this review will take my advice: if you’re on the fence about getting this pillow: you should just get it. Especially if it’s within your budget to get it. And even more so if you’re in a bunch of pain. This thing has helped me with my back pain, hip pain…it’s amazing. Even the weird overheating issue I would feel in my back from the pain because of the cover’s cooling factor. This is basically a weird magical perfect support pillow. I even told my spouse that if I ever have to go anywhere (like to a hospital stay or something) or if there’s an emergency and we can only grab one support pillow, this is the pillow we grab. No question about it. This is now the most important pillow I own. Seriously, to the folks who created and designed this masterpiece: thank you. To some folks this might just seem like a pillow. To someone like me? This is a life changing piece of medical equipment that I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t be able to live without now (seriously: my pain levels before this pillow were absolutely unmanageable- post pillow, I’m at least able to get my pain under some form of control). Something like that…you almost can’t put a real price on it. Which leads me to the last thing: thank you also for keeping this thing at a reasonable price for someone like me. A lot of us are not able to afford the life saving devices that we need so when we are able to find things like this? It’s rare and so very treasured.

Great pillow
Was having lower back discomfort lately, this pillow is saving me from a lot of pain and I am starting to feel better. it is soft but form enough to keep me comfortable. Also great to bring with on long road trips for car seat. Great fit for me. No noticable odor. I am very happy with this pillow.

Best pillow around! Love it. Try it, you won’t regret it.
I bought the dark blue one, but any color is fine, it’s not about color it’s the support that you want. I have another one that I bought awhile back and now I have two pillows. I have to tell you this one is wonderful to sleep on. Perfect for my lower back. Sometimes I like to use it to support sitting up in bed a bit more and put my head on it. TIP: the silky cover that it comes with is good for my damaged hair right now. Meaning my hair just slides easily on the cover and I find it not hard on my hair as regular cotton covers/pillowcases can be. It helps reduce friction, preventing breakage, retaining moisture, and minimizing frizz, allowing fragile strands to glide smoothly instead of snagging on rougher fabrics like cotton, though they won't reverse my deep damage but it prevents further issues and promote healthier new growth. And it’s comfortable! And that’s an extra plus!! Regarding my lower back area, I usually experience tightness in my lower back, but this pillow helps me stretch and decompress, gently guiding me into a more optimal sleeping position. I can now comfortably sleep on my side and stomach while feeling properly supported. This lumbar support pillow is not just for sleeping, it is perfect for straight chairs, recliners, your car seat and sofas. It has a zippered durable cover that is washable. It is light and easy to carry. I have tried many pillows for lower back support, then later my back is stiff from using it. This pillow is compact, it’s just right for the lower back. Most importantly, no issues with my back after extended use. I get a good nights rest. It’s like sleeping on a cloud it’s so nice and soft. Your back will appreciate it! I highly recommend!

Not just for sleeping, also for reading in bed, tv on couch etc
So first of all I have a short torso and big hips, and this is a little thick and high for my torso right now for lying on my side. It's easier on my back. That said, I was expecting that... this is the lowest height of all of the lumbar sleep supports I've found, and it also is likely to mush down after some break-in use like a lot of memory foam sleep support products can do so I'm not taking any stars off for that. I got this because I have started having really bad piriformis and hip pain on one side, partly because of how I lie and sit while working in bed or watching tv. I can feel the muscles tightening when I am trying to use them to support myself upright (I also have a hypermobility condition so I am always using muscles to stabilize myself upright, causing tension in weird areas). What I have found is the most amazing and unexpected use for this product is, is support for either my lower back while doing work or reading in bed (which I do a lot, as someone with a chronic illness), or under my knees or lower back while gaming or watching tv on the couch. It gives me a lot of core stability and support I never had before, and it is also handy to put upside down (or even right side up) in areas where my butt or legs are inconveniently located right between two sofa cushions (I have a cheapo sofa that tends to wedge my butt in the cushion gap uncomfortably). This provides a flat surface that is more comfortable and supportive. In short, you really can use this for a lot of things! I also have used it to stabilize my arm while sleeping, because if my wrist or shoulder stretch too much while at rest it can sublux things or irritate tendinitis and really hurt. It is just the right height to kind of rest my hand on when lying sidways so I am not stretching my shoulder joint excessively. I will say the best use so far for me has actually been stabilizing my lower back while reading and using my laptop in bed. It is such a relief to feel that support in my lumbar area so my pelvic muscles and joints, and my lower back can get a much needed break. But I am sure as I break this in more I will use it more for lying down too. The cover of this feels nice and is cooling and smooth, the memory foam is good quality. Great product.

Very comfortable!
This is very comfortable to use. The memory foam is soft. It’s comfortable enough to lay on all night in order to keep my hips more comfortable. I would recommend.
