When I first read the reviews of this product there were a lot of people that complained that there were no mosquito repellent mats that were shipped with it, but after researching it was apparent that Thermacell Mosquito Repellent Mats could be trimmed down to fit, but what I didn't know as just how convenient that would be! I had decided to purchase this product based on a camping video from one of the YouTube channels I subscribe to. Even though the video is out of Korea, they provide English subtitles and it's a great channel that I enjoy watching. They were using the same product and appeared to work very well (according to them, as well as what I saw in the video), so I did some searching and found that Amazon carried it. I was a little concerned though, as I wasn't able to locate any mosquito repellent mats that were sized to fit it, but figured I would try cutting down the Thermacell Mosquito Repellent Mats any way, since they provided measurements for the mats that would fit it. What I found out when it arrived was that simply cutting a Thermacell Mosquito Repellent Mat in half (on the long side) results in two pieces that fit perfectly in this device. If you use two mats together (to maximize the device's repellent abilities) in the two slots, one Thermacell Mosquito Repellent Mat does the job with absolutely no waste, so I couldn't' be happier! The device is well-built, solid, works very well as both a mosquito repellent device (with two "strength" modes, you can repel mosquitoes around the campsite as well as a smaller area like a tent), includes a great little lantern with four modes of brightness, ranging from a ~4W night light all the way up to ~40W bulb, and other nice features (including an excellent and durable carrying case), is definitely something I'll be taking along with me on a LOT of camping trips (not to mention when I'm just relaxing in my hammock in the back yard)! Combined with its quality build and effectiveness, just the fact that I can use *one* Thermacell Mosquito Repellent Mat cut in two for use in this device without any waste whatsoever easily cinched the deal for me. Gave this four stars because the repellent did not come with pads.Had to buy them separately and finally found some after searching high and low online.Other than that this is pretty cool for my tarp camp setups,it's compact for sure and I like a the light settings.I dig the camera screw hole on the bottom,its magnetic,yeah keeper.Hope the repellent actually works.

I would give this a 4 star review, however with the support the company gave me with a defective item, I'm going to give them a 5. Unit was replaced and at my doorstep in 3 days. Now on to the unit. This is a really small device like a thermacell. I really like it better, because it's rechargeable, so I don't have to keep buying butane for it. Which is a major cost saver! I love taking it fishing. I'll often clip it on my shirt collar and be mosquitoe free. The light function is really good. Warm color led light that is really bright. Added plus that the company doesn't state is you can plug it into a power supply like a USB battery bank, and run it while it re-charges!

No repellent pads are available from the manufacturer at all. Typical "MADE IN CHINA" crap. The instructions say to cut down Thermacell pads in half. They clearly STILL DON'T FIT. You shouldn't have to trim repellent pads to power the device. The manufacturer should make their own which would then fit effectively powering the unit. I bought 2 thinking that they would replace my Thermacell unit due to size, convenient carabiner attachment and light. What good are they if you can't get repellent? My strong suggestion is to stick with Thermacell until this manufacturer cleans up their act. Made in China is not an effective supplier of anything
