I am a life long gym rat and as I am getting older I can no longer just rely on squats and deadlifts for quad and hamstring size. This machine is the perfect addition to my home gym at a perfect price. It is every bit as good a commercial leg extension and just a small step below a commercial leg curl. I was very skeptical when purchasing this as the reviews state there isn't a constant weight tension due to it being a plate loaded machine, but that is wrong. You can adjust it to get a very good pump and workout. Leg extensions and leg curls are not mass builders anyway, they are a finishing move and they should be performed slowly and in a controlled manner to elicit a deep burn. This machine really is perfect for that and it has truly exceeded my expectations at this price point! If you are an experienced lifter and you are looking to get a gym quality workout with some variation at home, this machine is perfect for that. Tip: You don't need a lot of weight for this at all. I use 45 lbs for each leg on leg extension, and 25 to 35 lbs for leg curls. I am a strong experienced lifter as well. Cons: When doing leg lying down leg extensions, it is hard to get inside the machine to perform the curls, the solution is to adjust one leg down and then step in and do one leg at a time. A very slight inconvenience as it is just pulling one pin and dropping the leg out of the way on the one side. You must also find the tension range for the lying down leg curls. You will not get a lot of tension at the very top, so focus on the bottom part of the exercise. You will still get a much better burn than just doing straight leg deadlifts. Standing leg curls will hit the upper range for leg curls. Other cons are the machine does take up a lot of space, about 7x3 feet, so make sure you have enough room. The machine is well built and I do not see any reason why it wont last at least 7-10 years if it is just being used once or twice a week in a home gym. The bottom grab handles could be a bit beefier but that is nit picking. Assembly was very easy, did it by myself in 90 minutes. Do not mix up the allen key bolts with the standard socket bolts. Just use the directions and you will be fine.

Love love love this machine. This is an awesome leg curl and extension machine. I use it at least twice a week during my workouts. I like the fact that it's versatile and well put together. I think this would be a great machine for anybody looking to add to their home gym. This machine has really helped my legs not only get stronger, but bigger. Also like the fact that you can do leg curls from the standing or lying down position. I don't think you can really beat the price of this machine for what you get. The only downside that I can see from this machine, is with anything shipping. You will have a couple dings or scratches because you know this day and time. No one is perfect. People don't treat things the way they should. I had a couple little scratches and dings, but it didn't hurt anything on the machine. Make sure you check as you unwrap the machine and put it together. However, I would highly recommend this and give it a 5 out of five.

Overall, the total machine is great. 11 gauge steel, built like a tank. 1st major issue: On several post there are deep scratches, noticeable from a distance. The box was undamaged and it was packed adequately, so I would say, poor quality control. 2nd major issue is unequal leg positions. No matter how close you make the adjustment, they are still asymmetrical with each other. (Not sure if this develops the muscles differently, but having 1 inch distal leverage on one leg vs the other would seem likely) The 3rd issue, but not major: The seat has slack in it, so you get the rocking horse effect. I would have either added a locking pin or made the original hole smaller. Otherwise, the machine is great. Up to 350 per leg Individual extensions or simultaneous extensions , Individual standing reverse leg curls or flex Individual extension or simultaneous laying curls.

I have been thoroughly impressed by this GMWD Leg Extension/Curl Machine. This is my first purchase from this brand, but very likely not my last (looking at you Leg Press). No reason to go too long winded on it, so I’ll just mention the highlights and the one “issue” I encountered. Pros: • Overall Quality: from paint, components, steel gauge, to smoothness, this thing is top notch. I am a welder by trade and every weld is respectable. They appear to be done by hand and you can tell the same people are doing them (it’s very consistent between components). Some of them aren’t the most beautiful I’ve ever seen, but there’s no undercut and I have no problem trusting the durability. • Shipping/Packing: this thing is heavy, but it survived my local FedEx completely unscathed (impressive). They have all the left/right labeled, but they also packed them in color coded bubble wrap which was a nice touch. There were no paint imperfections or damage from shipping. • Assembly: I had this thing together in around 45 minutes without any assistance. There’s only 1 step early on that a second set of hands could be helpful, but just prop the swing arm up on your shoulder w/ some of the bubble wrap from padding and you can attach the 3 bolts. They give you all the tools you need, but a ratchet and a couple sockets will expedite the entire process. Cons: • This is the smallest complaint, but still worth mentioning. One of my leg pads was pressed up against something during shipping and the foam appears to be permanently creased on one side (see photo). Maybe these could be encased in a cardboard box or something? • Multiple Hex Sizes: once again, a weird and tiny complaint, but they used 3 different hex key sizes to assemble. They provide the hex keys, but they’re all similar sizes and it just seems like some of these could’ve been matched up to simplify the process a little. They could’ve packaged the nuts/bolts together by step, just to simplify it even further. Overall, super impressed with this GMWD and it really has me interested to see some of the higher quality line of products they offer. I have found the GMWD LE03 to be a solid machine for the price point. Easy installation though helpful to have an extra pair of hands. The LE03 foundation is robust with no wobble while using for extensions and curls. The operation is smooth with a straightforward ability to adjust positions. Like other reviews, I did have an issue with the leg pad alignment. That being said, GMWD customer service was extremely responsive and they went well beyond expectations to resolve the issue. I also found a few cosmetic dings that improved packaging, using bubble wrap versus a basic plastic wrap, would likely help. Overall, the LE03 performance meets my expectation but there is room for improvement. My five star rating is a combination of the machine quality and the outstanding customer support.

GMWD’s leg extension and curl machine was easy to put together, took me about an hour using my tools, would have probably taken 2x that long using the cheap tools that were included. Delivery was quick, box was damaged and had a couple tears in it, but it was well packaged and no damage or scratches on the machine. Function of the machine is very smooth and switching to different exercises is simple. Price was a steal for the quality and ease of use. I paid $259, said it was the lowest price in 30 days. Still a good deal at the current price of $399. Not sure how often this goes on sale, but I have been watching it in my cart for a while now. When it went to $259 I pulled the trigger. Looking forward to incorporating it into my leg days.

The machine came well packaged and there was no damage to the box; however, one piece was damaged. It doesn’t affect the use of the machine but for what you pay there should be no damage. It had to be a quality control issue because everything was wrapped extremely well which means it was like this when it was boxed and shipped. Also I am 5’4 and I have to use a step stool to comfortably get onto the machine. If you were much shorter the machine wouldn’t be great for you. I also turned the forward handles around and upside down in order to reach them when laying on the machine. The way they are supposed to be attached I couldn’t reach them. It a great machine and I love how I can focus on one leg at a time. The variety of exercises is wonderful. My rating of 3 is based on the damage.

Arrived damaged. Besides that, the frame seemed okay. So I just kept it. Kinda bummed but I don’t wanna wait for a replacement.
