The case fit my iPad Pro perfectly, and putting it on was pretty easy. The magnets are really good, and can even work through some obstructions (case in point: me applying extra grip tape because I needed it for the games I wanted to play); they're definitely strong enough to hold the iPad in place for both horizontal and vertical positionings, though the former is definitely better. The stand is pretty stable as well in terms of holding its angle. In terms of protection, I feel pretty confident that it'll be good for that. It has the raised rims that have saved my iPhone numerous times, so I definitely like that- It's not overly thick, but it can definitely take a beating while closed, enough where I wouldn't be too worried. The case itself has also been jostled around in my backpack a full year without me noticing any quality issues with it, so I'm happy on that front too- All in all, very good! The price is definitely somewhat daunting, but I think the quality is enough where I'd say it's worth it. I'd definitely recommend it.

This is the unicorn iPad case I never even knew I needed! I had a Zugu case on my old iPad, and I while I was not a big fan of the bulk while holding it, the stable stand always there when you need it was well worth it. Well, when I had a bougie moment and upgraded to the new iPad Pro right away, I went to Zugu only to find that they didn't have a case for it yet. Turned out to be in my favor, as it led me to this ESR case! They not only solved the bulk issue, they went above and beyond to make the best case I have ever used. ESR has all the features of the Zugu - the stable, adjustable stand with lots of levels, a pencil/stylus holder in the back in addition to pencil support on the side, and the ability to attach it to a magnetic surface like your fridge. And I will say, the Zugu materials do feel a little more premium, but it is also a more expensive case. The ESR still feels/looks high quality and brings extra features that I love. Top feature - it's a two-part case. It has a slim fit back-only case that magnetizes to the cover, so it instantly pops out for holding while still protecting the iPad. This is the game changer that gives you both protection of a bulky case and the convenience of a magnetic smart cover. And then there's the feature I didn't even know I needed, the elevated stand! It holds the iPad up at a higher level for noticeably less strain on the neck when watching or using it on a table. I thought it might feel unstable propped up that high, but it does not. The magnets hold it tight and it balances the weight well, possibly even enough to withstand my iPad-loving cat! Also thanks to the magnets you can pop it on the stand in portrait mode, another thing the Zugu case doesn't offer. Good for book reading, or the occasional annoying app that doesn't support landscape mode. It supports the Apple Pencil on the side, but in a much more subtle way - there's not a raised portion shaped like a pencil going "something should be here that's not!", it's just a subtle indentation with rounded ends that I know is for the Pencil, but it isn't very noticeable. Big plus over the Zugu there, as I think it looks weird just sitting there empty on that case as I have no Pencil. And lastly, it has that nice little fabric stylus/pencil holder in the back - I like to use a regular mesh-tipped stylus and that keeps it right on hand, think it's even the same fabric Zugu uses. But if you don't want to use it, it doesn't get in your way like a loop-style holder. The back case fits the new iPad perfectly, all the ports buttons etc line up, and the volume and power buttons on the case are nicely raised. Switching it around in the various configurations is super simple as it just snaps where it needs to be, and it passed the fridge magnetization open-shut door test with flying colors. Love the purple color, and the fact that the darker portions on the cover and stylus holder are a matching darker shade of purple, it's clear attention to detail went into this. Only tiny downside i noticed is that while the cover has great magnets on the back, the front cover part seems to have very weak ones, so it doesn't really snap closed and could possibly fall open in a bag if it's not tucked in right. But that is minor at best and honestly sometimes stronger magnetized covers annoy me, so I could go either way. Seriously, stop looking and buy this case. It's amazing.

I currently own a Zugu case, and while it’s a great case overall, it’s heavy and really takes away from the sleek feel of the iPad Pro M4. When gaming or watching media, the Zugu makes the iPad feel bulky, and I often end up holding the front flap, which quickly gets smudgy from handling. It’s very protective, but not enjoyable to use casually. I was looking for a middle ground. Something that protects the iPad without the constant bulk of a folio, but still allows me to snap it into a folio when tossing it in a backpack, or prop it up when watching something while cooking or doing other tasks. The ESR Shift checks all of those boxes. The inner case is thin and lightweight, which is exactly what I wanted. I also really like the textured back, which adds grip when holding the iPad in tablet mode. The magnets are strong and reassuring, and despite seeing complaints about fit, I had zero issues installing my iPad, even with a screen protector on. Cutouts for the ports and speakers are also spot on. Where this case falls short is the folio portion itself. Compared to the Zugu, the difference in quality is night and day. The folio has more of a plastic feel, which makes me question its long term durability compared to the thicker, leather like material on the Zugu. I’ll update this review if the folio starts to fall apart. That said, I’m still happy with the purchase because it offers something no one else does right now. If Zugu made a case like this, even at $80, I’d buy it instantly. They really need to update their design. Overall, the iPad feels protected, the case is easy to install, easy to flip into different positions, and I chose black to avoid discoloration or showing dirt over time. I’d buy it again unless durability becomes an issue.

This case is great. It does exactly what it should do and has a great quality. I forget sometimes that the case actually magnetically attaches to the foldable part so that connection is sturdy. There is a lot of versatility with what angle you put it at and it can even work in portrait mode if you turn the case itself. It offers decent protection. It’s just like another one I had like it from a different company but this one does make it a bit hard to grab the flap that supports the angle than the other one. It does have an additional flap on the top that I’m not too sure what it does. Downsides to this one is 1. I wish it had a little section the helps keep the Apple Pencil secured in the side. My old one did, this one does not. 2. It’s dumb that the magnetic array doesn’t also work on with the keyboard case. I bought both with the intention to do that. And had to return the keyboard because I wasn’t about to change the case on the iPad every time I switched it and have an extra coming with me everywhere.

Their customer service is AHmazing! With a capital A! I ordered the wrong size not realizing they had a different listing for the iPad 11 pro, contacted them and they sent a replacement THE NEXT two days later. Best customer service I ever had to deal with on Amazon. The quality is great, looks strong and sturdy and will last a good long minute. The magnetic foldable part is strong and will endure my hours of drawing and YouTubing. It’s lightweight enough that you’ll barely notice a weight difference. Grip is great. Honestly if you’re an artist or love putting your iPad sitting up to watch things, this thing is 100% worth the price. 10/10. Also excuse my poor video review I am not a professional lol. 😂

I love this case! It's everything I wanted. I've had it for almost a year now. I love that it's magnetic and the stand/cover is a separate piece that attaches magnetically so I can take my iPad off it for when I just want it to be light to hold it to play games or read or i can put it on the stand either horizontal or vertical. Sometimes i don't bother taking the case off even because it's not overly bulky and since it's magnetic it doesn't try to flop around too much like other cases. Sometimes I hafta take the pen out though if I want it to really stay because it does kinda get in the way. I also love that the stand has two folds for different angles. The top folds down for a lower angle which is great for drawing or the bottom folds out for a high angle which is great for watching videos! The larger fold is usually fine though since it can still get a pretty steep angle since it fits in all the groves. They're also fun to fidget with, especially the top one lol. And of course love that it can hold it up vertically, which not many stands do. You can also stick it onto your fridge if you want lol. The magnets are strong and I haven't had any problems with the stand slipping even when drawing/putting pressure on it. You can pick it up and the stand will stay in place and it's sturdy and sized well enough to hold it up even on uneven surfaces like my bed since it's flat on the bottom. My last case had a flimsy little kickstand that did not hold up well on my bed. The magnets do sometimes grab my airpods if they are laying on my bed close to it or they'll grab metal utensils on the kitchen table if you're not careful lol. I got this case specifically because the pen holder is stretchy so you can have a grip on your pen and it will still fit! So many cases that fit the pen are stiff and made to fit the pen only with no room for a grip. I also love the color 💜 it matches my pen grip hehe. You do need to be careful when the pen is charging on the side though. Mine has a grip so it's extra finicky, but it is all too easy to just knock it off the iPad and if it falls on the nib you'll hafta get a new nib like I did 😩 without the grip it probably stays on better and I've seen some people even just cut a hole in the side for the pen to fit better. I feel that's unnecessary, but easy enough to do if you feel it really needs it. My pen has no problem charging even with the grip. It's just extra easy to get knocked off. I think the case would still hold up well even if you did do that though. It's a good stiffness without being hard or cracking, but also not too soft so it never slips off. In fact it's a bit difficult to get off, but i prefer that over being too easy. I think if you messed with it a lot it could still break in the thinner sections like the vent holes, but if you don't stress it often it should hold up really well. The holes are all sized well. The USBC port has a little extra room in case you have a chunkier plug. The buttons are perfectly responsive and easy enough to press. It wraps around the screen just enough to protect it from falling on the screen i think, but luckily I haven't needed to test that much. If the cover is on its great since it's a bit soft for some extra cushion. I also wanted a screen cover so I can put my iPad in my backpack without worrying about the screen getting scratched. I used to just wrap my old iPad in a shirt lol. And since the cover is also magnetic it will stay on without needing a strap or anything. The soft parts of the stand do get kinda ugly as they get worn out, but I'm not too bothered as long as it still holds it up.

Uso questa cover da gennaio su un iPad Pro 11” M5 e finora mi sono trovato molto bene. I magneti sono abbastanza forti e tengono l’iPad ben fermo. Uno degli aspetti che apprezzo di più è la possibilità di utilizzare la cover in tante posizioni diverse, cosa che la rende molto versatile sia per guardare contenuti sia per lavorare o scrivere. La custodia interna è rimovibile, anche se personalmente preferisco lasciarla sempre montata per avere una protezione maggiore. I bordi sono protetti molto bene e anche la zona della fotocamera rimane abbastanza riparata. È presente anche lo spazio dedicato all’Apple Pencil, che trovo molto comodo. Considerando qualità, protezione e versatilità, per il prezzo sono molto soddisfatta dell’acquisto.
