Minn Kota Riptide Power Drivee 55 48" Shaft Length 55 lbs Thrust 12V Trolling Motor with i-Pilot & Bluetooth White

The media could not be loaded. I replaced an old motorguide (15 yr old) trolling motor that was an old warhorse. It was a basic unit and I wanted to upgrade to a unit that had an automatic anchoring system since I fish alone a lot. The Minnkota Riptide's i-Pilot with spot lock was exactly what I needed.The unit arrived at my house in 3 days, was boxed perfectly and took me no more than an hour to mount and hook up. It took me longer to patch the holes on the deck from the old unit than it did to hook up the new unit.The unit is easy to deploy and equally easy to store. I have used the motor several times now and usually troll for at least 2 hours during each red fishing trip. The battery drain is minimal. I also like the battery gauge on the top of the head unit (video attached). This helps me take the guess work out of battery life and the need to charge my 2 dedicated group 27 optima batteries. There are 10 speed settings and the speed is noted on the i-pilot controller. There are automatic functions that will take you different way points as well as a track back system. Honestly, I have not tried any of those functions as I am usually just going where it looks fishy in the mangroves.I have no idea how long this unit will last since it stays outside on a drive on dock exposed to the elements, but so far I am very happy with this trolling motor.

It was easy to install and set up. My boat is a Mako Pro Skiff 15CC and this 55# thrust & 48" shaft is perfect at 12V. With my LiFePO4 100Ah battery at 26 pounds, this kit gives me the best thrust with the least amount of weight added to the boat. I sat in a very strong incoming tide and this think held me on my spot the whole time. Of course I would love 80# of thrust to go a little faster, but this one is a solid 2Mph at fastest setting. I don't know how I got to 500 hours on my outboard without this thing.

Great thus far. Still learning how to operate ipilot efficiently. The Spot lock feature is awesome!! - With wind and rough waters it appears to be hard to navigate and stay on course while cruising. This is not a negative just an observation

Works as described. I’ve been using a foot pedal for many years and it will take a while to get comfortable with the remote. I would like much better if it had an optional foot pedal

Delivered May 12 and was the best thing ever now July 15 and starting to have issues first was not able to pare with the remote and today not able to change direction when out on the lake a little scary when that is the only drive motor on the boat wish it was flawless but it is starting to have issues

Ordered through Amazon since Bass Pro and Cabelas did not have. Came fairly quick. Product is great and I am getting ready to order some accessories for it from, you guessed it Amazon.

Put this on a 15 foot Triumph center console boat for fresh and salt water bay fishing. Worth every penny ! Like have a second mate in the boat allowing you to spend more time fishing rather than maneuvering.

love it. I use the directional navigational lock often and allows me as a solo angler freedom to flyfish. Quiet, quick response, excellent value.
