Dog's Colorful Day: A Messy Story about Colors and Counting (Picture Puffin Books)

I laughed at this story when I gave it a quick read through on my own before giving it to my grandchildren. I am sure that they and their parents will enjoy the number of funny things that can get dropped or rubbed onto a dog during a day. Perfect for learning colours and numbers or early counting. Though it is just a very fun book for young children.

Children love this story and is a good resource for encouraging both counting and colour recognition. This is the second copy I've bought as the first one has been read beyond repair!

Bought this to read as a sensory story with my class of special needs children! They loved it and loved getting messy like dog did! We've done a page a week and gotten really into the story. It teaches colours, number and also lots of descriptive language for children to experience!

Great for my ESL class. Short, easy to follow, with a focus on colirs and numbers.

I like the illustrations. The tale is a nice way to introduce numbers from one to ten and colours.

Kids love this book! I gave the kids a copy of the dog and they added the colored dots I gave them and added them to the dog aa they followed along with the story. Good for counting, learning colors and cognitive thinking.

My preschool group loved this story, clear illustrations and a fun story. I was easily able to make a felt story to go with this book.
