There were lots of blobs on the inside surfaces, but the wings and fuselage looked exactly like the real cloth covered Cub. Very happy with this filament. **Q: What is the difference between the product on the cardboard spool vs the plastic spool? Other than the spool obviously is the product the same?** A: The difference is in the weight **Q: What is the actual density? I have seen in the descriptions 0.8, 0.61 and "less than half" of regular PLA numbers. They don't match.** A: PolyMaker LW is not "less than half" the weight of "regular PLA" as far as I know and have tested. This is not "Active Foaming" PLA like ColorFabb, eSun, SainSmart etc. It is a PLA Foam or otherwise "Pre-Foamed PLA. I still think it is a good choice for many applications. Specific Density of the unextruded filament probably may vary between 0.6 and 0.8gcm3. It may have a refined formulation in the newest batches achieving "half the weight" but I may be a little skeptical of that claim without testing the latest batches. Conservatively I think you could see a 25-30% weight reduction and quiet possibly more with certain printing techniques. **Q: Will it be available in European warehouses? Highly recommended ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tra i migliori LW-PLA *by S***O on 4 April 2026* Ne ormai stampati diversi kg per i miei aerei, un po ostico da stampare, ma quando si è trovato i giusti parametri, stampa bene ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent material once you dial in the print settings *by A***N on 14 September 2024* Very lightweight, and impressively rigid for its density, you just need to keep a few things in mind: - Print it slow, like no faster than 100mm/s, and ideally around 75mm/s even if your printer can do much faster like mine, keep it slow. - Print at a higher temperature like 225C . - Make sure to calibrate pressure advance (at the correct temp) for this filament specifically. - The filament itself is very brittle but don't let that scare you, the final parts that come out are excellent. - Parts that are somewhat hollow inside will experience a lot of stringing, but all you need is a bit of sandpaper to go over it a few times to smooth out the surface and it'll be just like the outer perimeters.
