Bob's Red Mill Active Dry Yeast, 8oz

I am a baker who prefers sourdough, but I will use yeast, and even - gasp! I will use use quick leavening agents when needed. But for many years I bought another brand, and like with most things, you do get into a habit of always returning to the same brand. Well, I had occasion to try Bob's Red Mill Active Dry Yeast recently, and I will say that I have extremely happy with it; indeed, I use Bob's products far and wide, so I don't know why I did not already use the yeast. But with that said, I do in fact count myself as a Bob's convert to their yeast product. I store it in the refrigerator, and it lasts just fine until I am ready to use it. But, I do bake a little bit more than maybe others do (who knows?) so it doesn't really just sit for ages. But with that said, it does sit until it is needed, and the value per dollar is fantastic. It lasts quite a long time, even for me. I find the yeast quality superior and highly effective in baking. I am very pleased with this product, and I continue to be very pleased with Bob's Red Mill Products across the board.

Love this brand and love this active dry yeast shelf life is long and it truly rises quickly! It’s been a game changer for my baking especially my cinnamon rolls the texture is so fine and not giant or grainy and you get a huge bag for the money I recommend it for sure will be ordering again once I need more

I use this yeast for homemade pizza dough , bread, buns and rolls etc . Always rises and the product lasts a long time . I store mine in the fridge. Reliable product for baking .

Happy to know I’m using better quality yeast! No abnormal taste or smell. I’d say has a great shelf life but I’ve almost used the entire bag from all the delicious bread! Rises well when put in the perfect temperature water. The texture is expected. Considering it’s free from alot of other junk, I feel the money equals the value. Bakes well, seems to be very good yeast.

Excellent Quality I make artisan bread with this product. The bread always comes out tasting perfect. When you keep it in the refrigerator it lasts a very long time. Great price for such a large quantity.

I tried to use yeast that had expired by eight years in a test run of homemade pizza dough. While it produced bubbles in warm water with sugar, the end result was less than satisfactory. So I ordered Bob's Red Mill Active Dry Yeast to be delivered the next morning. Honestly, I couldn't tell the difference between it and the expired yeast. The dough had a nice yeast smell to it, but other than that it was nothing special.
