4AD will repress two more Cocteau Twins’ albums on vinyl this coming March, following on from the recent reissues of Blue Bell Knoll, Heaven or Las Vegas, Tiny Dynamine / Echoes In A Shallow Bay and The Pink Opaque. Using new masters created from high definition files transferred from the original analogue tapes, both vinyl pressings will also come with download codes. Digital HD audio versions of both albums will also be made available through specialist retailers at the same time. The band returned to being a trio in 1984 with guitarist Simon Raymonde joining their ranks in time for third album, Treasure. Produced by Robin Guthrie and featuring tracks “Lorelei,” “Ivo” and “Persephone,” Treasure is often celebrated as one of the band’s finest works. As Pitchfork put it when including the album in their Top 100 Albums of the 1980s, “Treasure was titled simply enough. An adjective for the endlessly inventive melodic lines you’d find buried in these songs, and a verb for what you’d do with them for years to come.” Review: brilliant - Great album, great band 👍🏼 Review: Harold Budd & the lady's give you a sonic massage - This is one of those groups I discovered in New Wave days, a very modern wall of sound it was. They built the road for my point of view for a slew of high pitched wailing female vocalists. And for the time they were ground breaking & unique. The vocals and music come at you as if you were standing in a giant dance hall. Electric, blurry nostalgic and much like a spot light on 2 dancers.

Lystrophyan Odes! a classic of mystical alien classical dream pop delight!
This audio movie moves from one scene to the next merrily taking you along for an exquisite ride! - they had little time to make this album & feel it is half finished! - if we all could be so lucky! - a magickal act I believe - the whole album is a masterpiece even if it's half finished! [well do another one then or re-do! - oh well.] Just listen to the whole thing through with people you love & then listen again & realise there are heavens OUT THERE! - 'Donimo" - Lystrophyan national anthem (stand please.)

Cocteau Twins's treasure,truly
This is the one I keep coming back to. All the others are great, also: but when I need relaxing this one does the trick. When I need to cast spells, ditto. When I need to hear hauntingly beautiful melodies, you guessed it, this one. When I need the experimental, here t'is. Plus I can never figure out what is being sung after all these years it's still a mystery. Hoki poki dominoki...Santa Monica..Santa Monica... and, what's with the ten names. Lorelei,Ivo,Persephone,Beatrix,Otterley,Domino,Cicely,Aloysius,Pandora,Amelia. Are they familiars, people, kitty cats? I give up,who knew Sugar Hiccup was about a race horse? Best of neo-psychedelia,new wave and Goth! Happy Halloween! also recommended Pink Opaque.Heaven or Las Vegas.Garlands.

In the '80s it was the start of modern music.
I absolutely love it. A lot of bands try to copy their style but nobody was able to. I highly recommend you purchase this CD and you'll see that it was the start of 80s style music Terrier

it is worse than "Disintegration
Will give 5-stars even despite being one of the most poorly track records of the 80s...actually yes, it is worse than "Disintegration." Own copies of it on every medium. Cassette limits the abrasive sound the most. Have a "Treasure" EQ setting. Record is practically unlistenable without it lol. Wish they'd recorded this as well as they did Garlands and Victorialand.

My favorite Cocteau Twins album
Beautiful album. Great artwork. Sound quality is divine. This band was way ahead of its time. So happy that they did the vinyl re-release/remaster.

Beautiful record
One of the best albums ever! Delivered in impeccable state due to quality packaging - tough cardboard box and envelope.
