This Brileine RJ45 crimp tool set works exactly as it should — clean crimps, easy pass-through cutting, and solid construction. The simplicity and speed it takes to complete a termination is super useful. The real standout is the CAT6 line tester, which is a must-have if you’re doing any DIY Ethernet installs. It made testing and verifying my runs quick and stress-free. Great value for a complete kit!

Half of the cables I made with this kit have open circuits. The crimper does not do a good job of crimping the connectors included with the kit. I tried squeezing the tool harder but to no avail. I bought a different crimper from Lowes and other cat6 feed-thru connectors. Well, it tuned out to be the connectors. Once I used the connectors from Lowes with original crimper, the cables were okay. On close inspection, one can see that the physical size of the individual connector parts are smaller leading to insufficient connections with the cable wires. (I will return the crimper from Lowes.)

Worked on first try. It comes with everything you need. Its important to know the wires are extremely delicate so be gentle and get the wires in correct position. Cut them short before sliding them into the connector. Simple and easier than trying to find someone to come do one small job.

I had to make up around 50 RJ45 jack ends and this tool worked great with no issues whatsoever. I’m not a pro so I can’t say how it would hold up using it all day every day but for a casual user like myself it works great without a huge price tag. I did discover this tool will work with multiple types of RJ45 jacks such as the pass through ones that the crimp tool cuts the wire when crimped or the RJ45 connectors that don’t allow the wires to pass through. I sided both kinds and the tool did great for both types.

I'm just a homeowner and only need to make a few long cables. But I only got about 4 reliable crimps from this tool on direct bury CAT6. The cable would pass connectivity tests, but wouldn't get a link light from the networking gear. Redid several times and but would have problems more often than not if I flexed the connector. Bought a Klein and haven't had a bad crimp yet. For what it's worth, the ends and connectivity tester work fine, but the tester will only test basic electrical connectivity which is not enough to ensure full data rate.

Really useful for when you’re installing ethernet at home, or just making an RJ45 cable. The RJ45 connectors it includes are pass-through, so crimping is easy and not a pain. The cut/crimp also comes out nice and perfect, haven’t made any major errors yet. It also includes other useful tools like a cable cutter, and a wire tester (although I haven’t used it yet since I lack the batteries it needs).

A good tool. I don't do this professionally, there might be faster tools! The only issue I had with this is the slight difficulty in feeding the passed through wires through the small gap at the side of the tool. Resolved trivially by just twisting them together a tiny bit after passing through the connector prior to inserting it into the tool. Trimming them a bit prior would also be a 100% solution.
