Groundbreaking Video Game System That Encourages Physical Activity
I could not be happier with NEX Playground. THE SYSTEM: For the uninitiated, it’s a video game system that uses a camera to track your body’s motions for gameplay. Besides the system, there’s no other hardware required. PACKAGING & GAMEPLAY: It comes well packaged and is incredibly simple to set up. Its games are elegantly designed to be engaging and intuitive to play. The technology works exactly as intended, and we have not experienced issues with lag. GAMES & VALUE: It comes with 5 games ready to play. For an $89 annual pass, you get access to dozens of other games, with updates and additions coming all the time. The games themselves vary widely from simple ones for toddlers to more advanced for teens and even adults. There are branded games with known IP like Sesame Street, How to Train Your Dragon, Care Bears and many more. There are also many unbranded games that feature sports, adventure and problems solving. Some are designed for a single player and others up to 6 players. A lot of the games have built in incentives where you can earn new characters or accessories from commitment and improved performance. Refreshingly, there are NO micro purchases. The pass is a real value and well worth it compared to other systems that charge $60-$70 per game. VERDICT: It’s perfect for my 6 and 7 year old daughters, and my wife and I have a lot of fun playing games with them too! It can keep the kids active and engaged for hours on end, which is really valuable during our freezing Midwest winters. We don’t feel quite so guilty about the screen time as other video games or shows because they’re putting in a lot of physical movement while working together. If you’re on the fence, don’t hesitate to jump in! And plan on getting the annual pass if you can afford it!

So much fun!
The best thing for kids!! We got this for our kids Christmas and it has been a hit! They beg to play it. We do not allow video games in our house so I debated this but after reading reviews and watching videos decided to try it. You have to be standing up and moving to play the game. Its exhausting (in a good way). Gets the kids energy out and keep them engaged. Get one! It comes with 5 free games then you need a playpass ($89 a year). The play pass is worth it! lots of games! It also has exercise games

Just get it
I rarely write reviews, but this thing is seriously amazing. My husband and I were worried it would end up being another cheap “Wii-style” system that our kids (5 and 7) would play once and then forget about. That is definitely not the case. Setup was easy and there are so many games. You do have to pay for the game pass subscription (we paid about $30 for three months), but it feels totally worth it. It’s super interactive my kids are actually sweating after playing and not only did they play for hours, my husband and I got sucked into it too. It’s very kid and family friendly, with a lot of team based games that get everyone working together instead of competing. It’s been such a fun way for us to actually spend time together and be active at the same time. A couple small downsides: some of the games are tricky for younger kids to understand, and you can’t really step in and use the remote for them because it won’t detect you. Also, certain games require them to stay inside a specific on-screen box, which is hard for little kids to do for very long. I also wouldn’t recommend this if you only have one child, since many of the best games need more than one player (unless you’re willing to play every round). Overall, though, 5/5 stars. Our whole family loves it. It’s fun, active, and brings back that good old family time where you laugh, move, and play together.

Best gift for kids
From a 10 yo boy: ‘Quiz Dash is extremely fun. You choose a topic to be quizzed on against an opponent. You get points every time you get a question right. I had an awesome time playing this and hope you do too😁!’ From a 9 yo girl: NEX playground is a very fun game especially when you’re having a play date and you don’t know what to do. I like to play a game where they show you a picture and you act it out it’s called copycat. I like to play it because I like to act and because I think the pictures are sometimes funny 😆. Would recommend you buying it! From a 10 yo girl: NEX Playground is an exciting and whimsical way for me to have lots of fun but also be able to exercise and burn calories instead of just slouching on the couch. It’s something that I would choose to do when I’m bored, an incredibly entertaining activity I can also use to spend quality time with my friends. Even if I’m not in the mood for being active, Playground contains several brain workout games too, allowing my mind to stay working when my body is tired. I love competing with my pals in Quiz Dash, raising my hand quickly to answer questions about really just any category(animals, literature, music…). Activities such as Active Arcade, Dragon Jumpers, or Hungry Hippos give me a session of exercise physically with joy and excitement weaved in. Finally, Party Fowl utilizes my arm or leg power and also captivates me with the fun. Overall, NEX Playground is just a game I can look forward to on a play date with friends, laugh out loud at with family, or stay active with during my free time. Would definitely recommend. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fun Active Play System That Gets the Whole Family Moving Indoors
I purchased the Nex Playground system to give our family a way to stay active indoors, and it’s quickly become a go-to for family game nights. After using it regularly and recording videos of everyone playing, it’s clear this system is designed to get kids (and adults) moving while still feeling like a game. What I Like: • Encourages physical movement instead of sitting still • Easy to set up and start playing right away • Games are simple enough for kids but still fun for adults • Works well for family game nights, parties, and playdates • Tracks movement accurately and responds quickly during gameplay What Could Be Better: • Requires enough open floor space for best results • Game selection is growing, but variety matters for long-term use How We Use It: We use this system during family game nights and when kids need to burn off energy indoors. It’s especially fun with multiple players, and recording videos of everyone playing has been a bonus because it shows just how interactive and engaging the games are. Who It’s Best For: This is a great option for families with kids who want more active screen time, especially for indoor play during bad weather. It’s also a fun addition for parties or group gatherings. Final Thoughts: Overall, the Nex Playground is a fun and interactive way to get the whole family moving indoors. It’s easy to use, engaging, and a nice balance between gaming and physical activity. We’ve enjoyed it enough that it’s become a regular part of our family routine.

Amazing Interactive Device for Kids — Keeps Them Active and Engaged!
The Nex Playground turned out to be one of the best kids’ tech purchases we’ve made in a long time. It’s a small cube-shaped camera that connects to the TV and tracks children’s movements in the room. No controllers, no remotes — the kids themselves become the characters on the screen. It feels like having an interactive playground right in the living room. ✅ Easy Setup Setting it up took just a couple of minutes. You plug it into the power and into your TV with HDMI, follow a few simple on-screen steps, and it’s ready to go. The device calibrates the room, connects to Wi-Fi, and immediately recognizes players. ✅ Truly Active Play What I love most is that this is not passive screen time. My kids jump, run, reach, dance, and move constantly during the games. After 20–30 minutes they’re happy, tired “in a good way,” and definitely more active than they would be with a tablet or phone. ✅ Great Variety of Games The game library is surprisingly diverse. There are sports games, dancing games, obstacle courses, fun coordination mini-games, and even cooperative challenges for siblings or friends. You can choose games for different ages and moods, which is perfect for families with multiple kids. ✅ Very Kid-Friendly The interface is simple, bright, and easy for children to navigate. There are no controllers to drop, lose, or break. Kids just stand in front of the TV and move — that’s it. Even younger kids figure it out almost instantly. ✅ Fun for the Whole Family This isn’t only for kids! Adults can join in and play too, and it turns into a super fun family activity. Great for rainy days, weekends, or playdates. ⸻ ⭐ What I Appreciate Most • Encourages physical activity • Helps reduce phone/tablet time • Kids stay engaged and entertained for a long time • Works well for single players or groups • Turns the living room into an interactive game space ⸻ ⚠️ Things to Keep in Mind Nothing major, but a few practical notes: • You need a bit of space in front of the TV for the camera to see the players properly. • Good lighting improves accuracy. Dim rooms can make the tracking less precise. • Younger kids can sometimes run out of frame and the device may “lose” them briefly — easily fixed by marking a play zone with a rug or tape. • A stable Wi-Fi connection helps games load faster. ⸻ ✅ Final Verdict The Nex Playground is a fantastic alternative to passive screen time and a great way to keep kids active, engaged, and laughing. The tracking works really well, the setup is quick, and the game selection is excellent. My kids absolutely love it, and I highly recommend it to any family looking for fun, movement, and something different from traditional video games. Rating: 5/5 — Totally worth it!

Highly desirable product - appeals to ALL ages!
Setup - smooth and easy. Play - 11 & 8 yo girl; 7 yo boy: All loved playing it and on initial use spent over 2 hours of uninterrupted play. These very active children ended up sweaty, excited, and ready for more. This is wonderful for children that need activity and outdoor opportunities are limited. It was THE HIT of the Christmas season for our family, even grandma and grandpa had a BLAST!!! Should work fine for deaf children, but needs extra audio for adaption to blind children and adults. LMK if the company would like some references! (The children's father is blind and already works with another company on a similar project.)

Fun way to get kids moving indoors without feeling like exercise
I purchased this to give my kids an option for active play indoors, especially on days when getting outside isn’t realistic, and we’ve been using it regularly as a family. Setup was straightforward, and the system was easy for both kids and adults to understand. The games encourage movement and participation without feeling overly structured, which helps keep kids engaged longer than traditional screen-based activities. It’s been a nice way to get everyone moving together without needing a lot of space. One thing to keep in mind is that it works best in a clear area with enough room to move, so you may need to rearrange furniture depending on your space. Overall, this is a good option for families looking to add more physical activity indoors in a way that feels fun rather than forced. It’s especially useful for energy release and family playtime, but it does require some open space to use comfortably.
