The New York Times bestselling Wings of Fire series soars to new heights in this graphic novel adaptation. Peril has been loyal to Queen Scarlet, who used her fatal firescales to kill countless dragons in the SkyWing arena. Now, Peril is loyal to Clay, the only dragonet who has ever been her friend. So when Scarlet threatens Jade Mountain Academy, Peril sets off to find her former queen, stop her, and save the day, no matter what it takes . There’s just one problem: a strangely persistent SeaWing, Turtle, insists on coming along, too. Turtle is worried about his friends, who left to search for Scarlet and haven’t returned. Peril is worried that she might accidentally burn Turtle – or burn him on purpose, for being so annoying – and frustrated that she keeps saying and doing the wrong things. She can’t escape her firescales, and she can’t escape her reputation as the deadliest dragon in Pyrrhia. So when she’s offered a chance to trade everything for a new life, Peril has to decide who she’s really loyal to … and whether her own scales might actually be worth saving. An epic dragon fantasy series for 9+ readers, perfect for fans of Warrior Cats by Erin Hunter With vibrant and captivating illustrations by Mike Holmes, this is a one-of-a-kind reading experience The Wings of Fire series has been a New York Times bestseller Over 30 Million copies in print! Reviews for the Wings of Fire series: "It was a really exciting book to read, and I enjoyed it very much." - William, aged 9 [The Dragonet Prophecy] "I read this with my 7-year-old and it was just incredible. If you love reading anything about dragons and enjoy reading graphic novels then I highly recommend this book." – Tracey, parent [The Dragonet Prophecy] "I loved it! I really felt like I was in the book." - Thea, aged 11 [The Hidden Kingdom] "This was an incredible book, and I would definitely rate this an 11 out of 10!!!" - Thane, aged 10 [The Lost Heir] "One of the best graphic novels that I've ever read." - Toby [The Dark Secret] Review: Engaging plot for young adults - My 13YO son is a reluctant reader but absolutely loves this series of graphic novels. It takes itself quite seriously and follows a group of five dragonets from different tribes who are prophesied to save their world from looming conflict. The books are fantasy based and have some complex themes that resonate with teens. I think there are more in the series but not all are graphic novels yet. Review: Great for encouraging reading - My daughter loves these and the Warrior Cats books. The graphic novels are easier for her to read as a ND child. Would definitely recommend.

Great
This is an amazing graphic novel, it perfectly represents all the important parts of the original novel. As well as that, it also gave me a stunning design for Chameleon, one of my favourite characters, and all his different forms shown throughout the book.

Another Stunning Wings of Fire Adaptation! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Escaping Peril: A Graphic Novel is a fantastic addition to the Wings of Fire graphic novel series. As a fan of both the original books and the graphic adaptations, this one does not disappoint! Pros: Beautiful artwork: The illustrations bring Peril’s fiery personality and her journey to life in vivid detail. Faithful adaptation: Captures the heart of the original story while streamlining it for the graphic novel format. Engaging storytelling: Keeps readers of all ages hooked with its mix of action, humor, and emotional depth. Character focus: Peril’s struggles with her inner demons and her journey of self-discovery are beautifully portrayed. Cons: Pacing: Some moments feel a bit rushed compared to the original novel, but that’s expected in a condensed format. Overall, Escaping Peril is a must-read for fans of the Wings of Fire series and a great introduction for newcomers. Perfect for young readers and dragon enthusiasts alike!
