A brief, clear overview of the basic science AND clinical aspects of immunology. For medical, dental, nursing, PA, and other health professional students. The basic science section is a clear presentation of innate and adaptive immunity, immune cells, antibodies and antigens, and other components of the immune system and their interactions. The clinical section clarifies hypersensitivity, autoimmunity, immunodeficiency, common diagnostic tests, vaccination, transplantation, and tumor immunology, all in 88 pages! Review: Fun, helpful for MLS courses, accurate material - Has a lot of funny and helpful images to make correlations for remembering the material better. Helped me during my MLS courses a ton. Review: Simple and concise overview of immunology - This is an excellent book for medical students and whoever is interested in getting an outline/overview of what immunology is about. You may not get the most out of this book if you just want to use it for boards. But you will find it very useful if you use it as a review/summary book for immunology or if you want to know the basics of immunology. In this regard, therefore, it is a short and concise book and great for its value.

Great overview
If you are having a tough time understanding the concepts, this book will break it down and put it all together for you. Brilliantly simplified. If you are planning on using this as a sole source for Immuno help--it won't work. You can gain a better understanding of the general concepts and how everything is put together. I am a post bacc student at UC Berkeley extension and this book helped simplify concepts.

Excellent review and synopsis
I had not reviewed or read anything on immunology in over 10 years. This is a good review of the basic science and summation of the current status of clinical applications. It is a quick and informative read.

Excellent Primer for Immunology
Only at chapter 2, but loving it already! Simple language, lots of illustrations and it appears quite comprehensive!

quick overview but not helpful for bords
This book might be well suited to a high school or maybe college cell bio course with a unit on immunology, or a quick overview to get your bearings when starting a medical immunology course. But it is just the bare bones of the different cell types and immunological reactions and a couple of examples without any significant mechanistic or integrative insights. I really liked the Microbiology Made Ridiculously Simple, but this one was a great disappointment in comparison. It is dry, has few mnemonics or tricks for memory, it is a terrible combination of painfully boring and not much useful content. The more complicated (i.e. board relevant) info( like cytokines, complement, pathways that involve multiple cell types, etc.) is barely mentioned and/or inserted in table form with no useful way to remember or integrate it. It was a decent refresher of the most basic principles which I guess was a good place to start for me since I bombed immunology initially and am having to start at square one for board studying, but I feel my time would have been better spent just going straight to First Aid General Principles or other clinically thorough but brief/basic text, which is necessary after this in any case. Starting with this book was not any value added, I'd have been just as well skipping the 6 hours or so I spent on it. The good thing is it was short and only $20 so I don't feel extraordinarily ripped off.

Handy supplement for immunology
The book is a quick synopsis of many immunology concepts. I really like the examples and illustrations it provides. It has been a fantastic resource while I have been preparing immunology lectures.

Waste of money
It is more of a booklet worth like Rs 300 if the writer was Indian. Total pages is 78 which includes index.

Excellent diagrams & clear text
I wish this book had been around when I was a student nurse, diagrams are fun & demonstrate clearly points being made in the text. Some of terminology I needed to read several times, which is down to the reader, not the writer. Very informative, understandable once I got my brain round the concept of immunology & its intricate workings, definitly a keeper for reference & refresher use.
