Have these held up okay on textured walls?

as long as you use a bit of hot glue you should be fine. ( I hung mine on the textured bathroom walls. 11months ago, 5 humans daily hot showers, hot glue, and butterflies are still hanging strong) ;) I hope yours hold up as good as ours have.

Does they stick on glass?

This butterflies do not come with adhesive on them, it comes with little sticker pieces that you have to stick to the butterflies to be able to stick them to where ever you need them. I believe that the adhesive will stick to mirrors, but they are white so you might be able to see it.

can you hang them from the ceiling from like a fishing string or something ?

I don’t think so, there’s not really a hook or anything. You could attempt to add a drop of hot glue to the end of the fishing string onto the sticky from the butterfly but not sure how it would work.

Will they stick on a kids polyester cape?

I think they will stick but if the child is moving around a lot they might not stay on very long.
