Cable Modem Booster
For those of you who are having trouble with internet drop while using a Cable Internet Service, this could be useful. Typically the unit is placed at the very first connector of the COAX that comes to your home from the service pole or service drop. This will increase (Amplify) the signal of your cable services (Internet and CableTV) to your devices (Cable Modem or CableTV Set Top Boxes) and can improve service. CAUTION: Most issues with cable/coax is the length or "Noise" on the line incoming. Longer coax runs can degrade service signal by the time the signal reaches your device. If you are using a Cable Modem the signal must pass both directions (To your Device and From your Device) so this unit will work. (There is another model that is only one way). However, if your problems are due to "Noise" on the line, this will only amplify the "Noise" and render the service much more unusable. If you are a techie type and can access your Cable Modem Admin Setup functions you may be able to see the signal and error correcting that is being done. Compare those results to other results you can easily find with Google Searches and you may be able to determine if this will help you. In my case, it helped improve the signal with minimal noise increases and made my internet connection much more stable. I still get a drop once in a while, but based on some monitoring software I am figuring out that my cable company (Spectrum) has some period where they have a "Noise Spike" or some other event that is causing that drop. I am working with them to try and get a cleaner signal (They are not in agreement and telling me they have a good test, which is true when they test it for a minute and the noise if normal). If I can get them to do a longer test and monitor of the lines, I think this will get fixed. If not, I will switch to another company that understands customer service. Hope this help!

Works well...
It boosts both downstream and upstream signal by ~3db. So if your cable modem is connecting at the very edge ( like ~35 SNR on downstream and ~57dbmV transmit power) and registering crap ton of correctable and uncorrectable errors, locks on one upstream channel, drops connection type of drill and if you had just about enough with Comcast technicians, you can give this a try. I see 37+ db on the downstream and locked on 4 upstream channels w/ 54dbmV after I replaced the passive splitter with this thing. It works like a charm! And no "have you plugged your modem sir?" nonsense either :)

Good signal boost, missing dummy loads
Works good. I have a TV on a long run with older coax that had severe signal loss problems and couldn't stay connected. Now all TVs are reporting strong signal. The package did not include the dummy loads pictured, though, just rubber covers.

High quality antenna amp for whole house
This amp is great for OTA antennas. I am using this with a rooftop antenna, and the 4 outputs connect to the cable jacks in my house. Each has full signal. I like that it has surge protection. It was easy to install.

A real workhorse
I had the past several years a Motorola unit just like this with only ONE output. It was terrific But lately I added a few more tvs & with too many splitters It was weak on the distant TVs & I had some pixel breakups. I hook this right where the Cable comes into the house & then run one output to my Cable modem & the remainder outputs to my TVs. This a spinoff of the Motorola unit But this one with 4 outputs gives even better results that are amazing. My computers, WiFi & TVs all work just wonderful. It is a dependable & solid workhorse that I could not live without. VERY much worth the price.

Quality Control
I cannot comment on the performance of this product because a faulty power cable made it impossible to use. The cable connecting the power supply to the unit is a short co-axial link. The male connector one one end of this cable was not secure and just came off. Very poor quality control. No doubt the unit itself would perform adequately, but a simple, silly, cable fault made it impossible to use.

This product definitely works!
I bought this product because I wanted cable in 2 other rooms aside from the primary room with the main cable source. I initially hooked my cable lines up and I only got 5-6 channels along with the message about weak signal. I repeatedly ran the auto program and I either ended up with 1-2 more/less channels. The number of channels was never that of the cable in the primary room. After installing this product and running the auto program I now receive ALL of the channels in both feed off rooms that I get in the primary room. I’m so happy I purchased this! It definitely works! The cable company was going to charge me an arm and a leg and a service fee to come out when all I had to do was buy this $50 product. Best investment ever!

Clears up sketchy channels, adds a few extra channels.
This worked exactly as I hoped. It cleared up our weaker but usually steady channels, boosted my weak and sketchy channels to usable and added one group of channels we hadn't previously picked up moving us from 6 usable to 19 channels total! I live in an area notorious for poor OTA reception. In the pre-digital tv age, we could barely pick up one channel sometimes but not usually while the network maps all said we could get five. As a result, we had to pay for cable and a bit extra for those local channels. Now, with cable and satellite/directv prices AND internet getting sky high, I can now use OTA again, FOR FREE. We're saving money and this little expenditure makes it quite easy to do that. Thanks Arris!
