CRAFTSMAN Mechanics Tool Set, 24 Piece, 1/4 Inch Drive Metric (CMMT12110LZ)

I trust Craftsman tools.

I have been using this for about two months now. I carry it around with me in my tool bag that is on my main minibike. Every time something needs fixed on the farm (nearly a daily occurrence) this comes out and get put to use. Thus far, it is holding up to everything, even the case.I definitely use this on the various minibikes I have built for myself and my family members. Some tensioner needs adjusted, something is loose, there's always something needing done. That's not surprising, considering I have built dozens of minibikes and trikes and whatever else I have felt like building over the years. This thing has fit in areas where I'd normally have to use something like a combination wrench. A ratchet is much nicer to use than that.I have even used the sockets in a 1/4" impact a few times. Now, it's not exactly an 800ft-lbs impact, but still, it's an impact. They don't seem to care, at all. I've also used the screwdriver bits in a drill dozens of times and they are holding up just fine.So, thus far, I have nothing to complain about here.

I've been weary with craftsmen's quality since they were bought out, But decide to give them another chance as this 24 piece set looks fairly decent and it's offered at a fair price.The mechanism for the ratcheting wrench has a satisfying feel with little play between the teeth, it better be for brand new! I put the bits through their paces as I primarily picked this set up to work on my dryer in the tight to reach spots inside where I could only stick my hand and work by feel.Overall I can't say I have any negative remarks and I think this will be a good partner going forward on further repairs.

Nice set for your truck or gift maybe. They always make the cases nice enough to keep and use as well.

I am the last thing from a mechanic he would take anyone for. But even a guy like me has need for a good quality socket set. And this one from craftsman is just about perfect for me. I live in a suburban home with two high school kids, but inevitably in life you need soccer is four things like putting together bunkbeds, or changing the tire on your bicycle. I’m sure you can think of a dozen other day-to-day needs for socket wrenches. The most challenging part of any socket ridge set is keeping track of all the sockets . This craftsman kit gives you a base to hold each socket and the base is marked with the socket size which corresponds to the socket which is stamped in the steel. The wrench itself is fairly small measuring only about 7 inches in length. This will not give you a long fulcrum if you need to break loose a socket, but then I don’t think that’s the intention of this set. I realize that Craftsman is just a brand-name and these are not intended to be super high-end. But for the average person, something like this will do just fine. I give props to Craftsman for making tools that are high-quality and robust, but won’t break the bank. I expect decades of use from this socket set.
