The Standard of the West Since 1879 The story of Justin Boots began in 1879, when H.J. Justin moved to Spanish Fort, Texas to become a boot repairman. He was a quick study, with an eye and talent for boot making. H.J. soon began his own boot company, Justin Boots, which he operated out of his home to serve cowboys passing though town. H.J. saw the potential for his business, so when a railroad was built ten years later in Nocona, Texas, he moved his family there to capitalize on a bigger market. In 1908, Justin Boots became a true family company when his sons, Earl and Avis, came to work for their father. Their combined efforts pushed the company forward, and just two years later, Justin Boots had doubled its production and was being sold in 26 states as well as Mexico, Canada, and Cuba. Seven years after their father´s death in 1918, his sons moved the company headquarters to Fort Worth where it still operates today. Every pair of Justin Boots is a salute to the spirit of independence, hard work and authenticity of the cowboys who have worn them since 1879. After more than 130 years of Western boot making, Justin Boots is still true to its roots. When you purchase a pair of Justin Boots you will own the most authentic and stylish Western footwear available. And with Justin´s patented J-Flex.Comfort System you will be wearing the most comfortable boots ever made. This is why Justin Boots has been crowned the Standard Of The West Since 1879.

Great boots! High quality leather.
Boots fit great! My advice is to try the boot on at the store before you buy it online. I tried the Justin brand boots at the store and turns out I am a different size than I regularly buy. Really paid off in the end. I got the right size online on the first try. The boots are of great quality! The leather is nice and thick but quite flexible. As of now, I am on my second set of soles and the leather still looks great! I think I can get probably 4 more years out of them resoling and keeping them well conditioned. And I wear these about three times a week. Make sure to clean with Bick 4 every once in a while and your boots will last a very long time like mine have.

Maybe I really am a cowboy at heart
I'm not a cowboy, but I really wish i had purchased these boot many years ago. I love the way the feel and look. I constantly get compliments from people about how cool they look. The feel just like slippers and the worn texture makes me feel free to do anything without feel of scuffing or scratching these fine boots.I will say that I normally wear a size 10 or 10.5 in most shoes. I ordered the size 10 and they did fit with fairly thick socks for the first few weeks. After they stretched out some they are a bit loose. It's not a major problem but they do sometimes allow my foot to slide up and then I need to tap my heel to reseat the boot. I am planning on soaking the boots and wearing them wet for a day to allow them to tighten up. I hope this corrects the issue.

These boots seem to be slim for a square toe boot. Going to try and break them in more to see if they relax. This is an update as it has really been the first time I have been able to wear these.I noticed that these boots shipped without any insoles. I thought it was just me, and didn't notice until I was trying to remove the insole to put my race runner one, and realized there was nothing there. As I was going to replace it it isn't a big deal, I was just under the assumption these were brand new and that makes me think, they weren't as new as believed when ordered and arrived.

At first, I was a bit worried about how it would be after ordering. As soon as it arrived, all my concerns with the boots were gone. It's true to the picture, and fits well. The Leather, with first initial look, is a bit more polished then what the picture leads, but once worn some and broken in, that should be no problem.1. Fits well2. Looks great3. 100% Leather4. Comfortable5. No sign of damage through shippingAfter about 3 weeks of wear, I'll come back with an update to this review.Edit: The boots are great. Plain and simple, no wear/tear after breaking them in. Just overall a great quality pair of boots.Edit #2: Wanted to do a follow up, Five years later and I still own the boots. I'm now only getting them resoled for a second time. They've been my best pair and have gotten a lot of compliments, so rest assured that what you're buying will satisfy.

These boots look good and get lots of positive compliments
These boots look good and get lots of positive compliments. That was surprising as I have nicer and more expensive boots that no one seems to pay any attention to. These are seriously like wearing comfortable slippers. I am not a big fan of the floppy shaft though. This is my first pair made that way and will be my last. They do also tend to widen out at the balls of my feet. Perhaps the leather is a bit thinner for comfort and pliability, which these have plenty of. The leather sole is wearing very well. These boots get worn at least 4 days per week.

15th pair of boots.
I bought the black wildebeest with the red shafts. I wanted something different but black and it fit the bill. There is a cool texture about them that reminds me of elephants Skin. I am between a size 12 and 13. And the size 12 fit me perfect. But most square toe boots I'm at 12 in. I found a fit and finish on these boots to be flawless. I have had Lucchese that have had more minor defects. I only question the thinness of the leather sole on justin bent rail boots. I have 15 pair of boots. So if you don't know. Leather soles wear out more quickly and you don't want to get them wet or they will change their form. However they mold to by our feet like no other.

Very nice boots from Justin! American made!
It always amazes me that people will buy western wear that is made in China! What do the Chinese know about western wear? My cowboy hats off to Justin for making at least some of their products in the USA! These boots are stylish and appear to be well made. Currently they are tight fitting but, I am hoping they will stretch as I wear them more. I recently purchased a pair of Tony Lama square toe boots and they are very tight fitting and have not stretched. All in all I am very satisfied with Justin's Bent Rail collection and recommend these boots to anyone looking for a stylish pair of boots at a reasonable price. Made in USA!

these became my new favorite after one day
This is my third pair of Justin made in USA bent rail boots, these became my new favorite after one day. I only wear the models with the J124 wide square toe in EE, these feel a little tighter than my others but still enough room to feel great. I should have bought a second to keep back like I did with one of my others. Also my first pair with leather soles, they were not as bad as I thought they would have been once I got them scuffed up.
