2PCS 7-Inch LED Headlights - DOT Approved, Hi/Lo Beam, Compatible with Jeep Wrangler, Chevy, and Miata - Plug and Play

It's so nice to write a review about a great product. I have a 1982 Vanagon, the headlights have always been awful. The stock lights were terrible, so a few years ago I bought an "upgrade kit" from a well known supplier of VW bus parts. They were German H4 bulbs, but in the end they were no brighter than the stock lights as they drew so much current they never got as bright as they should. Even after I ran a separate power line for them from the battery they were still too dim for safe driving. I'd been thinking about switching to LED headlights, as I figured the lower power draw would have to help, but trying to find compatible LED lights for a 42 year old car can be a bit intimidating. I have to give GoWesty major credit, on their site they sell a very expensive set of LED lights, but they say that if you don't want to spend $400 on headlights that you should check out these lights, and I did. These lights took perhaps 5 minutes to install, just remove the grill, remove the 3 screws holding on the band that retains the lights, pull out the old bulbs, pop in the new bulbs and replace everything. Could not have been easier. When I hit the headlight switch I was amazed at the massive glow of light, I'd never seen anything like it from my van. I'll make sure the alignment is good, but these are so much brighter than any other light I've had in there it's astounding. I have a volt meter that measures the system voltage in the dash circuits. With my old lights the voltage would sag from 13.1 volts to 11.8 volts when the lights went on. With these the voltage drops from 13.1 volts to 13 volts, quite the difference, obviously they're consuming a lot less power while putting out many times the amount of light. Just a final note, I was shocked when I opened the box and picked up one of the bulbs, they're HEAVY, much heavier than the stock bulbs, which I have to imagine indicates they're pretty substantially made. They certainly have an air of quality.

Box arrived in good shape packaged well. Installed fit perfect in my Jeep Wrangler. I like keeping Jeep as original as I can, but I needed brighter lighting . These lamps are nice and bright. Does not take away from the look of original that much. I sort of like the way they blend in. Glad I made the purchase.

I installed them in my 74 Super Beetle. It was very quick and easy to do, the plug connector fit perfectly. I should have made the switch years ago. I went from dim yellow lights that would get dimmer and brighter at lower and higher RPMs to being able to see like I'm driving a modern car. The low beams are perfect, the high beams are perfect. They are bright without blinding people. My car isn't a show car restoration but I didn't want super modern or techy looking lights, these lights look like they belong on the car.

I just installed this pair into my 1978 Ford Econoline. Wiring was easy as the headlights plugged right on. I cut the wires from my turn signals and extended them (using the supplied wiring) up to the headlights for the DLR/turn signal. The headlight brightness and cutoff is great! I aligned them properly so they won't blind oncoming drivers and I am VERY happy! I can see!! The brights are also amazing! The problem I am having is with the integrated DLR/turn signal. When I turn on my parking lights the DRL lights up in white. Looks great! With the parking lights off the turn signals also work great, flashing the DRL in orange. But when I have the parking lights on and use the turn signals, the DRLs switch from white to orange... and then they just stay lit in full brightness orange, with a barely-imperceptible flicker between flashes. 1/27/25 EDIT: The seller has acknowledged that BY DESIGN the turn signal function will not operate if the parking lights are on. I will wire in an external relay that will cut the parking light input when the turn signal flashes, but it seems ridiculous that I would have to do that.

Was skeptical since I’ve used similar products over the years and when these showed up and are thick heavy cast aluminum I was surprised, then the fit perfectly in my 70 f250 and are crazy bright! Better then my 99 and 11 super duty

Just WOW!!! I installed these on my 1974 Pontiac Trans Am. Literally a night and day difference between these and the old halogens. Like others mentioned, these are a little loose in the older vehicle light wells. I fixed this by using some window screen spline (that rubber strip that holds your window screen in) that I had laying around.wrapped a strip of this around the light, held in place with a strip of electrical tape/ once installed, the rings hold it all in place. Worked like a charm!! Nice and tight, perfectly lifted up like the halogens and the high beams!!! Just wow.

Seems to work great, well written instructions, pinout connection diagram is provided. Some technical information for those needing it: The main lamps are constant power (regulated). They don't change brightness as long as the battery voltage stays reasonable. Low beams are 12.5W, which is about an amp at nominal battery voltage. High beams are 23.5W, which is around 1.5-2A. Of course, since these are regulated, the current figure will change depending on voltage. The white DRLs are not regulated and come in at approx 4W (0.3A give or take). They will dim or brighten slightly depending on battery voltage, but this will not be noticeable unless your car has issues. Most lamps in cars are like this, and shouldn't pose an issue. The yellow DRLs are approximately 4W as well. The horizontal bar has two separate inputs, one for white, one for amber. They are both solid on if you power only one of the inputs. If you power both the amber and white inputs, the amber takes priority and the white is temporarily turned off. When the amber input is again turned off, the white bar will fade back in after a delay. This mimics the behavior of turn signals found in modern cars. Note that none of this influences the main beams - they follow their inputs directly. I'm using these in a 1974 Alfa Romeo Spider. They will be much nicer to my aging headlight switch.

I own a Jeep Wrangler 2016, removing the grill and installing was very simple, about 30 min if you’re handy, an hour if you aren’t. The end result is great, it’s SO much safer than the stock lousy standard Jeep halogen lights , far greater distance, no flicker, this is a great quality, metal housing , looks great. And nobody has flashed me in 2 months of use. Highly recommended as an easy safety improvement to any vehicle that it fits.
