Wow. I had a mouse in my home office and it took one day, actually just overnight, to catch the little guy. This product definitely works well. I don’t believe a full-size rat will fit into it but a smaller rat might. I received the traps yesterday and put batteries in and activated them last night. For bait, I took a half peanut and dipped it into peanut butter and dropped it into the bait well(the very small black area near the vent and). I woke up this morning, walked into my office and looked down at the trap to see a green flashing light. It worked flawlessly. I picked it up, turned it off walked out to the garbage can and dumped it out. Then I turned it on again with the same bait and put it in the same spot in my office. This is as easy as it gets. Where a mouse problem last year, and I used the baits that dehydrate the mouse. As I was leaving the house one day there was a mouse just curled up in a ball in pain with his abdomen, and most of his body swollen to double its normal size. I felt absolutely horrible. I still feel guilty about that. I can’t imagine the pain that poor Animal is in and its last hours. This. . I still feel guilty about that. It was quick, and I don’t have to worry about where the mouse went to die and decay and no maggots and flies. This is the way to go. It’s a great product. Easy to use, easy to clean and compact enough that you can put it into an area that your pets will not get into it. I really love the green light flash when a rodent has been caught, and I love the fact that the light turns red when the batteries need changing. This could be one of the best products I’ve purchased this year. I bought the two pack.
