Can this be fixed or replaced ?** A: If you contact Fiskars direct, they are very helpful Is the item not still under warranty? **Q: The jaws of my fiskars up86 keep jamming even when not cutting. With effort I can pull them apart but when i pull on the cord they jam closed again.** A: Had similar problem in that the jaws would not release. Tried spraying the chain, by the jaws, with silicone lubricant . Then manually worked the jaws open and closed a few times. Operated the normal mechanism several times initially having to manually release the jaws. Eventually started working again **Q: Does this pruner need assembly?** A: It comes on a VERY long box, ready assembled. You just need to turn a lock at the top to move the jaws into the desired cutting position **Q: Does it come with instructions?** A: It's very simple to use - hook the cutter round the branch you want to cut, then pull the yellow handle down towards the bottom of the shaft. It will easily cut thin pieces but for thicker ones it may be easier to pull out the telescopic shaft so that the knob rests on the ground for a better purchase. Overall its light weight, easy cutting action and height adjustability make it a no brainer make it a highly useful tool for high branches that are within its blade cutting restrictions. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worth the money, best iv used so far *by S***. on 7 November 2020* I purchased this in tandem with the saw head over to the branch saw and see my review titled "a cheap edition to a great tool" This pole pruner is very good its 6m reach is excellent and quite sturdy the no string system is excellent (just hope it lasts) The power is has is exceptional and with the right technique you can prune branches bigger than the instructions. It's worth the money just for the genius orange handle system mounted at the bottom of the pole if you at max extension or full arm reach rather than loosing height trying to reach the pruner handle, you can pull the bottom handle to activate the shears, this is the first and maybe the only pole pruner with this ingenious system. ( although it has become abit floppy and I would prefer a twistnlock system to prevent it from breaking unexpectedly in the future. It's a great size bulky but fairly light and stays rigid even under load, my only query will be how to maintain the smooth sliding action of the telescopic bit, as over time water + dirt will inevitably sink into the pole and jam it up. The impressive power shear head is activated by a bike chain which I thought was very impressive and hopefully has better longevity than moving parts The pull cord is neatly connected and runs down the small chanel etched into the pole ( just remember to remove your hand when extending as this can prevent it from moving) I Had this tool out on roadside tree saftey works and could not of completed the job without it.
