100/10 recommend. It’s really well made, and a great replacement choice over a ‘stock’ one that’s bound to break again. Owned the original fob for 10+ years and I destroyed that poor old housing over time, but this is clearly built to last for the next 10+ years I have this car!

So far, so good. 2008 FJ Cruiser. The OEM key FOB broke and so did another one I purchased on Amazon. I knew I needed a sturdier design that could withstand the natural twisting forces that occur starting and turning off the FJ. The AJT case walls feel thick and strong, and having screws on all four corners will hopefully provide a much stronger design than the original. I am very impressed with the perfect fit of my key into the FOB shape-wise. I used both of the provided shims to prevent some wobble of the key inside the case (basically, my key base was not quite thick enough to fit tightly between both sides of the clam shell design, but AJT has accounted for this and the provided shims eliminated the wobble entirely). I appreciate the rugged design, and the allen bolts/screws are a nice touch. Here's hoping I'll never have to replace the case again.

Fit just as described and feels of much better quality than other aftermarket key-fob covers. Hope this lasts as long or longer than the original Toyota key fob covers. I’ve bought other cheap knockoffs that last anywhere from 3 months to a year and they start cracking around the key. No matter which brand. This AJT is highly praised on build quality and ruggedness so I’m hoping those reviews stand true. Time will tell but for now it looks like I purchased a good quality item.

Finally bit the bullet and invested in one of these after my aftermarket key fob broke. We have been going through key fob shells every few years or so after they ultimately crack and break. This one is super sturdy and feels much more well made. It’s heavy duty, can be color coordinated to match your FJ, and is easy to install on the keyfob. Comes with instruction guides and videos that can be accessed online. Worth the money! Update: Initially I didn’t use the spacers that came in the package. It was recommended not to add them if they made the key fit too tight. I ended up tossing them. Now I wish I had them, as my key is starting to wiggle a little and feels a bit loose. I recommend holding on to them in case this happens to you.

This key fob shell is a BIG improvement over the OEM Toyota plastic housing, both in terms of build quality and design. It’s arguably the best value option currently available at this price point. However, there are some notable shortcomings. The presence of visible molding marks detracts from the overall finish, and the surface texture lacks the tactile grip and matte refinement typically expected on higher-end products. At a $40 USD price tag, I expected a more refined product. That said, I would still purchase this product again, as it remains a significant and worthwhile upgrade to the dated FJ Cruiser key fob.
