What a great set of tools for the price of one. These tools have made trimming fun again for me. There is a tool for every trimming possibility. Of course I find myself using two primary tools but I find specific uses for almost every tool. The steel is mild but keeps a pretty good edge. The first thing I did was to harden each tool with a torch and quench. A file doesn't necessarily skate of the tools but are certainly harder and keep a more consistent edge. I keep a small file in my jar and give a quick sharpen every five uses or so and they perform very well. My favorite tool is the left angled square and I use it every day. Aside from a needle and a rib, this set has everything you need to throw and trim with. Very happy and would have paid more for the set.

This would be a nice set if they were actually sharp and did not need the edges refined on delivery.

These are wonderful. A friend in the studio had some of these style, and I had to give it a try. Makes very crisp and clean trimming cuts. I like these way better than the old style trimming tools I've used for over 30 years.

I break tools. A LOT I work with plaster and destroy normal clay tools constantly, even Kemper hardwoods. But FINALLY I have a sharp tool that can scrape, scratch, knife, smooth etc without fearing that I'm going to destroy it. I wish they had nicer handles, but honestly, the blades are GREAT so I can make a handle for it... I also wish this company would make a smaller version for finer detail work, BECAUSE I LOVE THESE!
