AT&T CL4940 Corded Standard Phone with Answering System and Backlit Display, White

The Lead on this phone as it came from USA and Canada was intermittent and in the end stopped working i` have contacted the supplier awaiting a reply.

The cables are not compatible with the UK. We bought an adaptor at a cost of £9.99 which didn't work either, they have refunded the money no problem. We returned the phone to Las Vegas at a cost of £32.70. We have not had confirmation that the phone has been received back, nor the postage. A very expensive mistake.

In the US it $33... here double that and then change to £

My husband bought this phone because we wanted a phone that could hang on the wall, very few answer phones seem to these days. the first thing is that it was sent from the USA, this unfortunately meant there was an extra £15 to pay and a trip to the main sorting office also costing time and fuel. The phone charging cables then were not compatible with an English electrical socket. The numbers cannot be saved because it doesn't seem to recognise an English telephone number - must be a problem with the number of digits in the phone number. It looks ok but don't buy it in the uk you will be disappointed and out of pocket.

A great phone! Caller ID, answering machine, and landline all in one! Cell phone reception is spotty in our neck of the woods, thus a landline is necessary. We were tired of all the spam calls, so being able to see who’s calling and ignoring those you don’t want to talk to is wonderful. Deleting them is even better. As seniors, we appreciate the large screen, the big numbers, and the ring tone. So very glad we purchased this phone!

So easy to assemble (even for a senior). Great sound which you can adjust with the "Audio Adjust feature. No problems in assembling, completed all the additional setups within minutes. Greatly improves the audio and clarity when receiving incoming calls. The "incoming call feature is bright and large enough that you can see it from a distance. The "call answer, flash, audio assist and message waiting features are bright enough for you to know you have a voicemail message. The clarity of the voicemail messages have been vastly improved. Love the speakerphone feature and use it on a regular basis. Finally a corded phone that has everything needed for those of us in the aging genre. With this phone's audio clarity features I'm not aging, but my hearing capabilities have improved.
