The original bulb had lasted for years, but I needed a new one and so bought this two pack as it was very cheap for two bulbs. This is the second pack I have bought, these were just to keep as spares. The first replacement bulb I used lasted almost exactly a year, so although they don't last as long as the original bulb, just over a pound a year seems good value for money and the bulbs are nice and bright too.
