Very impressive. It's very small, yet very rugged and dissipates heat pretty well. I use it as part of my Cinema rig, writing sustained huge raw video, and it doesn't break a sweat. It gets hot to the touch, but not to the point where I'm afraid, and not to the point where it throttles. While it's larger than the SSD it encloses, it's not too much larger, and that extra ruggedness is appreciated. It's very portable. Great value would 100% recommend

This is awesome, I got one for me and my partner. The transfer speed is exactly as described and does not disappoint. I would recommend for anyone on the go.

I got this and similar enclosure from another brand at the same time. The material is solid and good quality, although it runs hotter than any other enclosure I've used. I'm curious if anyone else has had a problem with drives going bad. I had a handful of 500GB drives that were about a year old, all with similar usage. I had two drives crap out on me within the first couple weeks and one of them went on responsive until I put it in another enclosure and it works fine now. It's not the most trustworthy enclosure that I use when I need to do something important bc of that. Could have been just chance, but if others having the same issue I would look at other options.

I purchased this enclosure to repurpose a Dell OEM WD SN740 256GB M.2 2230 NVMe SSD, and so far I'm impressed. Installation was simple, and Windows 11 recognized it immediately. The enclosure uses a Realtek RTL9210 bridge and connected using UASP (NVMe Express). CrystalDiskInfo was able to read full SMART data, including drive health, temperature, power-on hours, and total host reads/writes, which isn't something every USB enclosure supports. The drive also reports TRIM support, and Windows detected it as a healthy SSD. The enclosure does run a little warm. This Device idles around 50°C with a freshly formatted exFAT partition and no files on the drive. That's still within the normal operating range for an NVMe SSD in a compact aluminum enclosure, but it's worth noting if you expect it to stay cool during long transfers. The only issue I encountered was the included USB-C to USB-C cable. Any slight movement of the cable would cause the drive to disconnect. I verified this wasn't the enclosure or my computer by replacing it with a different USB-C cable, and the problem disappeared completely. Since changing the cable, the enclosure has been stable. Overall, I'm very happy with the enclosure. Performance has been excellent, SMART pass-through works, UASP is supported, and it's a great way to repurpose an older 2230 NVMe SSD. Just be aware that you may want to use a higher-quality USB-C cable if you experience intermittent disconnects.

small, easy to install the ssd. its really stron and solid steel it actually hangs of f the side of my steam deck bag. i use it all the times for windows on my steam deck. doesnt heat up at all.

Took a bit to get the hard drive to get installed. More about the hard drive than the enclosure. Once I got hard drive in it works great. Works with my Iphone!

Acquistato per poter continuare a sfruttare un ssd Nvme 2242 che avevo rimosso da un pc. Devo dire che è un case fatto bene. Non è la prima volta che acquisto accessori di questo brand, e devo dire che mi sono sempre trovato benissimo. Qualche piccola osservazione sul case: - in fase di installazione, la pasta termica deve essere abbastanza spessa, non mettete quella sottile altrimenti non andrà a contatto con il dissipatore passivo. - il dissipatore passivo scalda un bel po', quindi occhi quando lo usate e lo prendete in mano.
