Seems great so far, works with Japanese style bits
Smooth ratcheting with very little movement in the mechanism. I really got it because it works with my Japanese style Vessel bits because of the magnet only retention. The directional ring is pretty genius as well. I wouldn't put any heavy-duty torque on it, but I already have other drivers for that.

Really nice driver.
Wera is one of the finest tool companies outside of America and this no different. Sweeeet little driver with reversible ratchet and very smooth action. I recommend it.

Best to own at least one of each type.
Designed in Germany from a German company and likely manufactured in Czech Republic.Especially enjoy the overall style, design and manufacturing quality.Have a huge selection of WERA tools going into retirement.Dutch people have a saying (paraphrased) "Cheap stuff is expensive stuff".If it breaks , causes damage, doesn't inspire self-confidence and great workmanship.Don't buy cheap stuff...Easy to award FIVE STARS.

The best you can get
Yup, i love this screw driver handle ratchet, its small but very capable. You can easily adapt to left, right, and even locking the driver with only one hand. Absolutely recommend for swiss machinists or lathe operators.

Finally - Ratchet Knob Direction Matches Driving Direction
Photo shows this Wera 838-RA-S ratcheting bit holder in center between a tiny Wera 813 and a PB Swiss 8453 stubby. It's about time makers of ratcheting drivers stopped making mechanisms that turn in the opposite direction of the driving direction. This compact Wera ratcheting bit holder does just that. The ratchet direction knob turns in the same direction as the driving direction.Control placement is perfectly located to use your thumb and forefinger to set the direction and begin driving the bit in one motion. That is useful to get a fastener started until there is enough resistance to overcome the ratchet’s back drag, and this Wera has extremely low back drag. The strong magnetic bit holder keeps the bit securely attached so it is not likely to remain attached to a fastener. The overall 4-inch length (not counting a bit) is compact enough to work in combined spaces. It’s a favorite small ratcheting bit holder.

magnetic head actually works, unlike so many others
The magnetic strength of this driver is actually useful. Sadly, it is too small for my hands to hold it easily, so I'll try one of its cousins...
