Perfect fit and a quick fix for common vacuum leaks
I bought this vacuum line to replace the brittle original on my 2004 Silverado 5.3L, and it fit perfectly right out of the box. The ends sealed up tight, and the pre-bent design made install super simple—no cutting or adjusting needed. It fixed a small vacuum leak that was throwing a code and causing a rough idle. After installing this, my truck ran smoother and more responsive. The material feels durable and well-made, better than the factory one that cracked. If your GM truck is from the early 2000s and you suspect a vacuum issue, this little part is a fast and inexpensive fix.

It works
It works once installed! I removed it after installing and it ripped making it useless! You have to buy a couple of them if you are gonna be still working on it!

Poor quality, not worth buying
0 STARS ISN’T AN OPTION BUT JUST DO NOT BUY THIS PART AS IT WAS BORDER LINE MELTING AFTER 30 MINUTES OF DRIVING. I want to start by saying I had no issues with the part fitting properly just the horrifically low quality of the material. I installed it on my 99 Sierra and it fit perfect then I went for a 30 minute drive. When I returned home and checked on the part the outside had a strange look and peeled/flaked off when I touched it, almost like it was melting. Then when I went to take it off the thing just tore and fell apart. My engine was not running any hotter than usual and the only difference was the material of this part. Again do not buy this.

Does not fit 5.3L flex 2003 Chevy Suburban 1500 4WD
Amazon and Rock Auto said this was the correct part number for a 2003 Chevy Suburban 1500 Z71 4WD. It is not. The ends on this part consist of a 90 and a 45. The 5.3L flex requires two 90's. The vacuum line itself is too short. I took the rubber elbow that mates to the intake from this item, installed it on my old vacuum line and got the truck back on the road. In buying this item, I effectively paid $11 for the rubber boot that mates the intake manifold and the vacuum line.
