Dust Barrier - Plastic Zipper Door Dust Protection Kit - Construction Door Cover with Zipper Magnect for Room Remodel, Fit Standard Doorway 4'W x 7.5'H (4' x 7.5')

We went through a basement remodel and I wanted to make sure that our storage items were protected from six months of dust, debris and paint while still allowing access. Our situation was difficult because we had no door to attach a plastic door to and we had a specific area only that we could place a plastic door. We preferred a magnetic closing option instead of zipper due to the frequency we would be in and out of the space. After a lot of research we settled on the Pick for Life dust door as with its 4' x 7.5" size and magnetic closing seemed like the best option and it fit our needs perfectly. Since we had no where to mount it to we pressure mounted some boards up to the floor joist and attached the door to it using the supplied tape and pins. We then used greenhouse plastic and tape to seal all the edges next to it to create a full dustproof wall. This worked really well to keep drywall dust and paint stray out and the door held up through hundreds of openings and closings over that time. Plusses - Different size options - Good weight plastic and well built with good edge stitching to put the pins into - Included tape was high quality and the pins did help with mounting - When closed properly the magnetic closure did not allow any dust or spray through - Was easy to remove when done. Removing the pins was the hardest part - A bit pricey for what it is but much cheaper than the name brand plastic wall solutions. Minuses - While the magnetic closure closed properly and was easy to use, you do have to make sure it closes all the way down to prevent dust from entering. The only time anything entered the other space was when a contractor didn't close it all the way. - Was a bit tricky to install with one person. I'd recommend two people to make it faster and easier as it has some weight to it. The easiest way to install it by myself I found was to temp mount it in place with small pieces of tape and then do a final taping and pinning after.

This dust barrier is perfect. I wiped the wall and the tape adhered great. I did add a few of the tacks for extra strength. The magnet closure is awesome , opens just poking your finger thru and snaps back to close after you pass thru. I had up for two weeks during remodel held tight. I had to reuse later. There was plenty of tape for reuse. It is sturdy, clear vinyl. Looks great too. Highly recommend. All contractors should get these to show how they care for the customer.

Excellent product. Exceeded my expectations, Thick plastic with strong magnets, which close without effort. If you take the time to hang it correctly, it wrks perfectly. The kit even comes with a roll of painter's tape.

Easy to install. Long enough. After a couple weeks the tape needed replacing. Too much in and out- didn't hold up that well for longer use. But that was no biggie. Magnets did what it shows they would. Would buy again. Affordable for the job.

This kept the upstairs of our house nice and clean when we remodeled the downstairs--even keeping sheetrock dust at bay. It is sturdy and durable and easy to go through while carrying an armload of things. Closes well, and we had no trouble with the tape staying adhered.

I got this to put up for a bathroom gut renovation that I knew would be messy. It was very easy to install, and the included tape did a great job holding the barrier up without harming the paint underneath. When the contractor saw it, he immediately said they wouldn't use it because it would be too time consuming zipping in and out during demo, and when I showed him it worked on magnets, his jaw dropped - he hadn't seen one like this before, and honestly I hadn't either until this one. The guys were able to easily break through the magnets, which closed right back up behind them, and kept the majority of dust and debris contained. When the work was done, I just wiped it down and folded it back up to use again in the future. This is a great product that does what it's supposed to do, and saved my lungs (and my sanity) during a messy project. Kudos to the designers.

We are doing some remodeling and these have been a lifesaver. They come with a generous amount of tape and are very easy to hang up. The tape holds up well. I love the magnetic closure. You can go in and out with your hands full and it closes up behind you. Contains the dust so it doesn't get all over your house. These are a great value for the money because you can use them several times. I'm so glad we bought these.

Very cheaply made, and very heavy for the amount of hardware they give you to put up
