An amazing starter set to paint minis. Has all the most used colours, (which can be used to mix new ones), a primer, a great starter brush and a mini to test the paints on if one wishes. Army painter really is the type of brand that balances great quality and budget friendly prices.

It is quite difficult to find a set of basic colours so I was pleased to find this set.The paint quality seems to be as good as other brands.The inclusion of a primer/undercoat is useful and the dark wash works well.The inclusion of a figure is a nice touch allowing for testing the paint, although a finer brush than the one provided might be needed.Good starter set.

My Daughter wanted some paints to paint over some plastic animals. I wasn’t sure what paints to get and this set was perfect. Great colours, brush, guide and mini model.

I picked this up after receiving some warhammer figures for Christmas, so I had no paint at all. This set acts as a great starting point as it gives you all the basics - A strong Red, Yellow and Blue (Primary colours) plus a really strong green. You also get Black and White, a good dull brown, and two metallics.I've not used the brush on primer, but the Strong and Soft tones are interesting. I found the strong tone dries a little glossy, while the soft tone is more matt.On top of all that, a free brush, painting guide and model make this a nice little start.

If you are just starting painting war game minatures, you soon discover all the different paint colours you are going to need. This set , sets (no pun intended) you on the right path . The paint can be thinned down with a little bit of water on your palate , so you don’t obscure the details with thick paint.Just thin it out and paint a few thin layers for great coverage and depth of colour.I’ve come to find that ‘The Army Painter’ range of paints does a great job , and is cheaper than some other brands.

A fun starter set for anyone interested in painting figures. For a simple set on the face of it, the included model looked amazing and definitely built some confidence ahead of delving into more sets

These make painting so much easier as someone with little patience and not much skill in miniature painting.
