I wish I had the money to buy every contractor who climbs a ladder one of these. It’s such a vital asset. There are so many stories of a catastrophic fall and ladder safety is so important. The issue isn’t usually getting on the roof, it’s getting off. You are committing your weight toward the fall side and the ladder is generally unsupported left and right and definitely not supported toward the fall side. Lock Jaw anchors the ladder and prevents side to side slides, tips and kick outs. Some things to think about: If there are gutter guards you must remove a small section to anchor the lockjaw. This is a tool that greatly increases EXISTING ladder safety principles. Not replace them. But it’s durable, easy to use and is a no brained for your climbs. Pair it with a ladder helper and the gutters stay clean and you stay safe

Works as expected, very simple and easy to use. Holds the ladder as firm as tie down straps with out pulling on gutter supports. Completely happy with the purchase, wish they had a package deal for 2. One downside is can't use a gutter guard while using the lock jaw, and without a second one the ladder has enough bounce that cardboard eventually finds it's way down and out. Also the carabineer that comes with it is cheap and broke off after the first couple uses. Doesn't bother me tho, I just lock it onto my harness strap or onto a pocket.

If you've read many of my reviews, you will quickly realize I do the majority of my own work. I painted our 3800 square foot house. I used this to paint the upper eve of our home. I can't over emphasize my fear of heights! I felt completely safe knowing This was helping hold my ladder.

I recently bought this. It works very well. The pictures make it look massive but it is smaller than you think. Once you use it once it is mastered. Easy product to use. Very sturdy. The carabiner is useful. I hook it on my belt loop going up and down with stuff in my hand to save me a trip up or down the ladder. I am a painter so I use it to secure the ladder on the gutter on windy days so the unattended ladder won't blow away. It is very useful for when you have to hoist up a 20' ladder with a ridge hook on the end off it. Makes hoisting up the ladder onto the roof and taking it down from the roof much safer.

Wish I wouldve had years ago. Perfect for stabilizing the ladder when working on gutters. Put it through the paces already and it hasnt budged. Definately buy it, Contractor for 21 yrs, I give it 10 stars

Works as it should. Provides confidence when going on and off the roof. Cheap investment for your safety as long as the gutter is properly secure.

To be fair, I think this is a great product and worth the investment to save you a major injury or worse. In my case, it doesn't fit very tight to the ladder even after adjusting it as close as it would go. The left and right adjustment is fine, but as you can see this still allows some movement if the ladder were to tip backwards. I think it's enough movement to where it could still cause a fall if it started to move and then caught the ladder. However I mainly bought this to prevent side to side movement, which it does seem to do still even though there is only a small amount of contact made with the "L" shaped metal piece. I'm debating whether its worth keeping or not.

Bin wirklich begeistert. Ich nutze die Sicherung bei der Reinigung von Dach und Regenrinne in 6m Höhe. Natürlich erfolgt der Aufstieg immer noch ungesichert, aber das Arbeiten oben ist nun super stabilisiert. Sehr einfach in der Handhabung.

Outil efficace. Facile à utiliser et sécuritaire. Permet de garder l'échelle en place sans craindre de tomber.
