I'm really loving this Rice Cooker! Definitely the BEST I've used! Perfect size for 1 or 2 people and perfect size to fit in a small cupboard. Having the good size handle is great and I love how it sits on that little ledge while cooking or being stored. Very helpful with the 2 measuring cups; one for the rice and the other for the water. Nice not to need an extra measuring cup! I usually cook jasmine rice and/or buckwheat and both taste great! Very fluffy and nothing sticks to the bottom. Steel cut oats didn't work that well, as they were messy. Haven't tried my old fashioned oats, but will at some point. Great recipes in the booklet! I think it's helpful to unplug the cooker as soon as the warmer button comes on and that may help from anything sticking. I have not let the food sit too long in the cooker. I thought it may be hard to know when the buttons go from Cook to Warm, but you can still hear a click. Plus, I always keep the front of the cooker towards me so I can see when the buttons switch. The top pops open so easily and that is great! The inner pot is very easy to clean! Just need a soft sponge. Nothing sticks! Don't even need to add a little bit of oil, as the pot is great quality! After reading the manual, I saw how easy it was to pull off the silver steam plate under the lid and gently remove the rubber liner around the plate. Since water fills up around the liner, this makes it so easy to wash. You have to be very careful when drying that plate so that it does not bend as it is very light. Also, you have to be just as careful when putting that rubber liner back around the silver plate, so that it fits just right and not to bend the plate. Most of the time, after cooking, water comes out from the bottom of the cooker as well as outside of the top. I assume that's from the water and steam. I keep a towel close by, so to quickly dry the water and not get the chord wet. Also, you have to be sure to dry around the back of the cooker. Since the cooker is black, it's best dry it under some light so you can see even a little bit of water in the back around the top before storing it. I highly recommend this Rice Cooker! It's easy to handle, cooks and cleans great! Also, when you reach out to the Seller with any questions or concerns, you get a thorough response in a very timely manner. I love this rice cooker! It attractive and makes Great rice quality. It doesn’t leak and it’s not messy. Instructions are easy to understand and cooker comes with separate cups for rice and water. The cups are marked to make it easier as is the side of the cooker. It’s so easy I imagine a child could make it, but I don’t recommend that they use electric appliances! The rice comes out in minutes. perfectly cooked and all that I suggest is that you fluff it with a fork. I love this rice cooker! It can also be used to make other things. But, I have only made rice so far.

Wow! Works like a pro! The rice cooks perfectly as promised, and steam tray cooks meat and vegetables, likewise. Although I haven't actually used any of the recipes (I did get some ideas, though), the cookbook is adaptable and easy to follow. This product is a great investment, so far!

I previously bought a different version, but I saw the popularity of this particular product that I had to try it and I absolutely I’m glad I did. This is so convenient so easy to use. It is definitely one of my go to in the kitchen being a single person it’s just the right portion for me and one of the best most positive things that is such a plus is the cookbook. I can’t wait to try. Thanks and even try some more dishes for of my own very happy to purchase this item and I will be buying one more and others for gifts for friends and family.

Purchased in July 2025. First usage was Sept 2025. By Oct, the Robot stopped working. Did the troubleshooting. Nothing. A Fuse, really! I stand by my first review. My robot simply shutdown. This was my first impression: Purchase NOW!! Rice ROBOT will not disappoint. Very satisfied. I've steamed blue crab. I've cooked neckbones n rice, macaroni n cheese, shrimp low mein noodles, soup, etc within 3 days after opening the box. What I don't like: there is no on/off switch; the steam drain on the door leaks a mess. I place a folded paper towel to catch the drainage. The next gen needs a piece that drains the liquid back into the container. The cooker defaults to warm for safety reasons. I don't like it but I understand the reasoning. The ladle handle should be longer by 3 to 4 inches for a man and to prevent burns. It has yet to sensor when to cut off when food is ready. My rice was mushy. I shall read the instruction manual one of these days. I love my new kitchen assistant.

Our experience with the Rice Robot XL Personal Rice Cooker.... I should start by saying the three-star rating is because this machine cooked some short-grain white rice pretty well. We measured out the rice and water according to the directions, and the cooking took about 35 minutes. It has a very simple design with one switch to turn it on, and then it keeps the rice warm until you unplug it. There are no timer or delay functions on this particular machine. Unfortunately, we are returning it due to safety concerns. On the top cover is a vent for steam and for liquid overflow while it's cooking, which is normal. The problem is that this overflow goes down the side of the cooker and into the area where the power cord plugs in, creating a mess—not good. There is nothing to capture this excess, unlike on a pressure cooker, which typically has a small drainage cup on the side. You can see in the picture a small puddle under the plug when the cooking first started. After we noticed what it was doing, I put some paper towels on the top to soak up the rest. Maybe they should redesign this.

Excellent machine. Makes perfect rice every time. Easy, easy to use. I put 1 cup taco rice 1 cup water added rottissorie chicken pieces and polish sausage cut up in coin size. Turn the rice robot to cook and in about 20minutes it was ready. So delicious. Enough for two people or you can double the rice and water and have enough for three or four people. I can't praise this little machine enough. I have made rice receipes for three weeks now since I got it fast thru Amazon. In fact it is so good that I purchased two more for family.

I rating this cooker as a 5 as I love it and it's very easy to use... even though it's a replacement for the original that stopped working. The warranty covered the replacement with no issues with the seller at all. They promptly sent me a new one that's been working great. I think the problem was with a thermal fuse on the inside but I didn't want to take apart in case of warranty issues... turns out they didn't ask for the original back anyway so I may delve into it in my spare time. The cooker makes all my rice perfect and even does porridge too. Will explore further with other recipes in the future. Love my Rice Robot!!!!!!

I purchased the robot just over a month ago, so I've passed the return window. The egg cooker sticks and already the button does not work properly to open the top. Additionally it actually does not make noodles and it's a poor receipe book. I would not recommend this product. Waste of money.
