You need to be at least a little handy and patient to do. Personally I found this product to be exactly what I was looking for, more or less. It was easy for me to install DIY. After snapping everything in it worked immediately after ignition. As for night time camera performance, it did seem a little dark, only somewhat backbiting. Overall though satisfied and relieved to have a functioning backup camera again. Dealer wanted a fortune to replace and it doesn't add up.

Perfect fit for my 2012 F150. Quick install. No issues. I have grid lines and Zoom1 works without taking it to the dealer for reprograming. Zoom 2 and 3 keep it on the zoom1 view. The view is more fisheye than the original camera, and the grid lines are thinner, but for a fraction of the cost of a dealer repair it’s worth it for me. Grid lines appear centered/aligned appropriately. I also feel like some of the menu options for park aid, fixed grid lines, etc., might not be working the same as before, but those are options I haven’t played with since I bought the truck, so I can’t swear to it. I debated giving 5 stars, but wanted to acknowledge the minor shortfalls relative to the OEM camera. A couple of other notes. I had the original housing and emblem design and despite trying to be careful, I did snap off the tabs on the emblem. Also, at 13 years old, the Torx fastener holding the retaining clip in place was totally rusted and crumbling apart so I could not get it to unscrew. Fortunately I had purchased the replacement housing/emblem kit so I trashed all of the old stuff and put in all new. No comment yet on durability as I just did this today. If I have any issues I’ll update the review.

2014 Honda Accord EXL Navi. Maybe I am being unfair with three stars, so I will start with the good.... The Good: Good build quality. Installed this and despite some claims to the contrary, not only did it have a crystal clear picture, but notably it actually switched angle view modes, which I was not expecting, and pleasantly surprised! The Bad: Both normal and wide view modes were partially occluded by the bumper and the upper trim piece, like looking through a half closed eyelid. And then of course, as many people have said, the guidelines were way too high. Ultimately unacceptable for me. This is all probably due to the 170° fisheye lens, or possibly something wrong with how this one was assembled (aimed) at the factory. Maybe this works great in other people's cars, but not mine. Returning it. Bought a different "green" one that unfortunately does not switch views, but apparently has a fixed angle that works perfectly in normal view mode, is not occluded, and my guidelines are spot on, which is a better outcome.

The backup camera is a perfect replacement for the stock tailgate camera in my '15 Silverado. Simply remove the cover plate from the inside of your tailgate, remove the stock camera, and replace. It truly is that simple. Yes, you will have to get on your back to unplug the old camera from the underside of your truck and plug the new on in...but it's super easy. My truck is the W/T model which comes with the really small 4" screen on my dash. Stock screen and stock camera are a joke. New camera and a new head unit install does the trick. It's not crystal clear 4K resolution...but it does the job just fine.

Plug n play, clear picture better than the oem for alot better price

Fit was for 2019 Chevy 3500, original camera lens was either sun damaged or something. This one is so much better. I should have ordered it a year ago. Tedious installation because you have to route the wiring down through the tailgate, through the back of the bed and over by the spare tire where the connectors are. Backup camera works great, 5 stars

Definitely is nowhere near as clear as the pictures claim it to be. In the daytime, it looks about as bright as their night vision picture is. Image is not sharp and does not give good definition. It is not as clear as the factory camera was. It's better than no camera, but would I buy it again, no. Would I recommend it, based on the image quality no. As for being an OEM replacement, it fits exactly as the original. The unit I purchased was for a 2010 Dodge Ram 3500.
