They take 1 or 2 shaves to break. I just began using Electric Shave lotion, it lubricates the skin and the shaver. Together they gives a very good shave.

The shaver replacement head worked well with my old shaver and I hope it continues to do so. Now my old shaver works like a new one. My only reservation is that the replacement head seems to have only plastic internal parts which may break over time.

Although this fits on the shaver and does operate, it is NOT the same as the original Braun part. You can see that on inspection of the top. The "rake" between the blades has wiggles stamped into it to look sort of like the original, but the wiggles aren't separated. The metal continues between the stamped wiggles. Flip it over and you'll see there are less than half the moving parts of the OEM. When you go to shave with it it does cut whiskers, but it also heats up rapidly and noticeably, indicating the presence of too much friction between the foils. You can also feel it pulling on the whiskers. Not satisfactory.
