I just got it in the mail, put it into the freezer and tried it on for the first time. It's made of a 1/2 inch thick solid but squishy gel material and covered with a soft stretchy material. I just had rotator cuff repair and will be returning to work 11 days post op. Icing is essential especially early on in recovery. I do have a cold therapy machine, but was looking for something a little more portable while I'm at work or out and about. It's pretty comfortable. There are no straps that go under the arm on the side that has ghe ice pack on it, but its super soft ans stretchy so thats a bonus. It stays cold for 20+ mins. I think this checks all my boxes. The only 3 "cons" are: It is a bit on the heavy side. I did need a little help putting it on since I only have 1 hand I can use... I do think it will get easier with practice.
