Awesome
I recently started using Advanced Clinicals Body Lotion Skin Care Moisturizer (16oz) with 10% Glycolic Acid + Lactic Acid, designed for KP (Keratosis Pilaris), and I have to say, I’m thoroughly impressed with the results. Here’s a detailed review based on my experience: Packaging and First Impressions The lotion comes in a large 16oz pump bottle, which is both practical and easy to use. The pump makes dispensing the product super convenient, and the bottle itself is sturdy and clearly labeled, giving off a clinical, professional vibe. The design is simple but effective, making it clear that this product is focused on delivering skincare results rather than being overly flashy. Upon opening, I noticed the scent right away. It’s subtle and fresh, with a mild clean fragrance that isn’t overwhelming or overpowering. It doesn’t linger on the skin too long, which is great if you prefer something more neutral. Texture and Consistency The lotion has a creamy yet light texture that spreads easily on the skin. It’s not too thick or greasy, which I appreciate, especially when using a product on larger areas like the arms or legs. The absorption is quick, and it doesn’t leave a sticky residue behind. My skin feels smooth and soft after application, and it stays hydrated for several hours without needing to reapply. Effectiveness on Keratosis Pilaris (KP) The main reason I purchased this lotion was to tackle my KP (Keratosis Pilaris), which causes rough bumps on the back of my arms and thighs. I’ve tried several products in the past, but I have to say this one has made the most noticeable difference. The 10% Glycolic Acid and Lactic Acid in the formula are exfoliants, and they work effectively to loosen and dissolve the rough, bumpy texture caused by KP. After just a few applications, I started to see a visible improvement in the smoothness of my skin. The rough patches have softened significantly, and the skin now feels much more even and hydrated. Exfoliation and Skin Texture The glycolic and lactic acid blend provides a mild but consistent exfoliation, which helps to slough off dead skin cells and promote cell turnover. I didn’t experience any irritation or redness (which can sometimes happen with acids), and after continued use, my skin feels significantly softer and smoother. I’ve also noticed that the bumps on my arms and legs have visibly reduced, which is a huge win for someone with KP. This product works gradually over time, so it’s not a quick-fix solution, but after using it consistently for a couple of weeks, I definitely noticed improvements. The exfoliation is gentle but effective, and it leaves my skin feeling fresh and refined. Moisturization One of the standout features of this lotion is its moisturizing ability. The combination of glycolic and lactic acids, along with the other ingredients, helps hydrate my skin without feeling heavy or greasy. My skin feels plump and hydrated throughout the day, which is particularly important for me, as I have dry skin in addition to KP. I also noticed that my skin doesn’t feel as tight or dry after showering, a problem I sometimes face with other exfoliating products. The moisture it provides helps balance the exfoliating action of the acids, leaving my skin feeling soft and nourished without being stripped of its natural oils. Usage and Application I’ve been using the lotion about once a day, applying it to the affected areas after showering when my skin is slightly damp. I focus on the rough patches on my arms and legs, but it works well on the rest of my body as well. The lotion is non-greasy, so it’s perfect for using in the morning before dressing, as it absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave any residue behind. I’d recommend starting slowly if you have sensitive skin or have never used exfoliating acids before. Maybe start by applying it every other day to see how your skin reacts. Over time, I’ve increased usage without any irritation, but it’s always best to listen to your skin. Value for Money At 16oz, this product offers a good value for the price. You don’t need to use a lot per application, so the bottle lasts a decent amount of time. Given how effective it has been at improving the texture of my skin and reducing KP bumps, I feel it’s definitely worth the investment. Conclusion Overall, I’m very impressed with Advanced Clinicals Body Lotion Skin Care Moisturizer. The 10% Glycolic Acid and Lactic Acid combination works wonders for exfoliating and smoothing out the rough bumps from Keratosis Pilaris, while also providing much-needed hydration. The lotion has a gentle yet effective formula, absorbs easily, and doesn’t leave a greasy residue, making it perfect for daily use. It’s a great choice for anyone struggling with KP or those who want a smoother, more refined skin texture. If you have Keratosis Pilaris, rough, bumpy skin, or just want to improve the texture of your skin, I highly recommend giving this product a try. It’s affordable, effective, and offers noticeable results with consistent use. I’m definitely planning to continue using it as part of my regular skincare routine!

Effective, Long Lasting, and Yes, Slightly Smelly
The moisturizers are effective. I have been using them about 2 weeks and can feel a difference in the texture of my skin. It is smoother, less crepey, and perhaps firmer. The price for two 1 LB bottles is reasonable compare to lotions like Gold Bond, and I do not need to use more than one pump to cover my skin so the bottle should last a while. I would take a half star off because the smell, as others have mentioned. It isn't fresh or clean....it's just odd and off-putting. I layer the lotions with another scented lotion or essential oil. I may try to mix a few drops of essential oil to see if that works without diminishing the effectiveness of the lotion.

use em as body lotion for hyperpigmentation
I love how much product you get and the price point so I use them every other night on my BODY to get rid of discoloration & hyperpigmentation. I’m Indian & quite tan so big bites always leave the worse marks on me during & after summer but this gets my skin clear and even again by spring (only for the cycle to restart but that’s mother nature lol). I use retinol one night. nothing the second night and then the glycolic acid the third night and keep cycling like that. I took a star off because I don’t like the texture and smell of the glycolic. I wish it was thinner and less artificial smelling but that just maybe be how the acid smells in all products and I’m just personally sensitive to it. I’m not exactly sure but the texture can def be smoother! just wish it was less sticky on the skin. the retinol does not have that issue!

Love this cream for dry bumply skin!
Absolutely love this exfoliating moisturizer! I have always had very dry skin, and have developed KP along with other skin issues in my 40s due to medications. I've tried shea butter, cermaides, eczema creams, amlactin, you name it... the best of those only ever minimized the issues, but my skin still felt bumply and parched. But this cream is amazing! It hasn't done much for the KP (nothing actually cures that), but has smoothed out and richly moisturized the rest of my skin issues, and even started shrinking some of my skin tags and dermafibroses. It feels thick and luxurious (the lotion, not my skin) and goes on buttery smooth, and absorbs quickly. If you apply too much, it will feel a little sticky, but just adjust how much you use the next time. It spreads really easily and soaks in fast, so a little goes a long way. Some reviews have mentioned an unpleasant odor - it's subtle, but it's just the natural scent of the active ingredients (glycolic + lactic acid), not any added fragrance, and it doesn't linger more than a moment. One word of caution - if you're new to lactic or glycolic acids, start slowly (like every few days) to avoid redness and irritation. You might also have areas that 'peel' as the exfoliant works to smooth things out. Just keep a second good moisturizing lotion on hand to apply on thinner or more sensitive skin, even long term. I wait about 10 minutes after using this glycolic cream, and then put a second moisturizer on my collarbone and neck to avoid any irritation. You also need to be careful about using sunscreen, because this cream can make you burn more easily! Edited to add: great price for this size container! And the combination of pump top / removable lid is SO handy.

THDA NOT Ascorbic Acid
Glycolic lotion is fine, though it dries a bit sticky. The Vitamin C lotion is not great. VERY strong fragrance plus I didn't catch that it's a very low potency ester of vitamin C (THDA - tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate), so my hopes are not high for any noticeable benefit. I would consider the glycolic a second time, but the hunt for an ascorbic acid body lotion continues!

Brightening and Smoothing Results
I really like this brand, and this lotion combination is great. The Vitamin C cream gives my skin a bright, healthy look, and the AHA/Glycolic lotion smooths everything out beautifully. Used together, they make my skin feel softer, more even, and much more hydrated. The formulas absorb well and don’t feel greasy, which I appreciate. Overall, a great duo with noticeable results.
