This router delivers really fast and stable internet speeds, even with multiple devices connected at the same time. Streaming, gaming, video calls, and downloads all run smoothly without noticeable lag or buffering.The coverage is also impressive and reaches throughout the house much better than older routers I’ve used. The NETGEAR Nighthawk 6-Stream Dual-Band WiFi 6 Router (RAX54S) proved to be an exceptional upgrade for our home network. The setup process was incredibly smooth; it was very easy to get the router configured and running, making the transition to 5g completely hassle-free. The accompanying mobile application was a pleasure to use, providing an easy-to-interface dashboard for monitoring the network, managing connected devices and accessing settings. I was particularly impressed with the built-in security features, which provided excellent, robust protection right out of the box. In terms of performance, the coverage is outstanding, eliminating dead zones throughout our house. Crucially, we can now use all of our high-bandwidth streaming devices simultaneously; 4K video, gaming and video calls, with no issues, buffering or latency problems whatsoever. This router is a powerful, reliable investment for a modern connected home.

This Netgear router is easy to setup and will provide a good wifi 6 connection. It is not the higher level triband wifi router but for the price this 2.4/5hz dual band should suit your needs. I went with this RAX54s since I tried a higher level wifi 7 (RS280S) and only my laptop and cell had wifi access. I figured my Netgear POE switch and surveillance cameras were not current to take advantage of the latest router technology. Overall good speeds and it is way too early to comment on the reliability. Less than one hour to setup and get everything going at almost half the price of the RS280S.

This router sucks. I have configured a lot of routers over the years including several Netgears, without any problems. But this one is awful. I think part is product design, but part may be mine is defective.They want you to configure via smartphone app, but I wanted to connect a cable to the router and do my own direct config. That would not work, because they require you to log into (or create) a netgear account to configure it. They should make it clear that you need a Netgear account to use the product (some people may not want to). Since I didn't remember my password, I was stuck, since I didn't have access to internet to reset it (because I didn't have a working router).I finally gave in and tried the app. When I hooked up to the wifi it would not accept the default password, so no way to log in. It actually says the default password on the login screen, but mine did not work. Since it has only been out of the box a hour, I didn't change the default password.I called tech support, and waited on the line about 30 minutes. No one ever answered, but I did get to hear repeated ads on purchasing extended tech support (where I assume the still would not answer).I went back to trying the direct cable connection while I waited for tech support. On the 43rd try, it let me into the configuration page without logging into my Netgear account. Not sure why it suddenly worked once.It is setup now, but way to much work.

Good signal strength, really helped my signal strength out in my backyard. Easy to setup.

This router is okay, but it's been dropping streaming. I have several security cameras, two TVs, one computer, a wifi HVAC system, a cell phone, two Echos, a clock, and two wifi projectors connected in a 1,700 square foot brick home (one story). I rarely use the TVs, and if I do, I use only one at a time. I often get lag time when I stream through my projectors. Sometimes, my security cameras lose their connections. I'm going to upgrade to another router/modem that has more power. I gave my specs to help you calculate if this router will work for you. I don't do any gaming, so I don't know if this router would be good for gaming. When purchasing a modem/router, consider how many square feet are in your home. Calculate how many stories you have in your home. Calculate how many devices will be connected to the Internet through your modem/router. Calculate if you will be steaming (videos and gaming). You don't need to buy too much power, but you also don't want to have too little. I've outgrown this modem. But otherwise, it seems to be a good modem. As I recall, it was a little problematic when I set up this modem/router for the first time; I had to call Netgear/Nighthawk for help.

set up app is easy to follow, performance speeds at or above provider's guarantee. totally satisfied.

I was a previous NG Nighthawk user (X4S from 2017) and reason I finally decided to replace was that I was losing so much speed. I have Frontier Fiber 500 MBPS and was only getting 50 MBPS! I replaced it with the newer model and man..getting back my speed..back to 500 and sometimes 600 MBPS. Setup is super easy and friendly, only downside is that you will have to re-add all your devices/printers..ugh. ALSO, the previous problem with trying to login the the admin router at your desktop seems to be fixed! I was able to login into the router settings from my desktop and there was no issue. Some have said the problem might develop later with some database log(s) issue, so we will see. But for now, this router is great and works perfect!!
