Can it be mounted horazonaly

If you stick the knife in it's sheath through a belt loop on your pants it can be carried very nicely . I carry this or my other hard plastic sheathed Cold Steel roach belly or Finn bear in this matter with no problems I trim off the small outward lip on the plastic sheaths for more comfort.On some jeans I've added an extra loop close to an existing one for a more secure (peace of mind carry) for my all around favorite the 5.6" Morakniv Eldris; because any knife not carried is a door stop......

If anyone wants a leather sheath, Grohman originally made the Canadian Belt Knife, and still does. You can buy leather sheaths from them.
