This is definitely enough watts to get your animals through a snow storm!! I didn't buy for animals but more over red light therapy for myself and my husband. Haven't gotten the chance to really use it much, but the heat it puts off is phenomenal!!

Warmth that it puts out
Light got quite warm over newborn calf during a freeze. It kept him safe from illness or freezing. The bulb last with continuous run for quite a while. I can still use it next winter if I need to. I'm considering purchasing another on for the dog's room over the kennel instead of electric heaters. It compatible to other brands with less cost. Easy to install. Simply screw the light bulb into the heat lamp and plug in.

Great for plants in the winter.
Bought these for my plants on cold nights. They’re a good size and generate quite a bit of heat without cooking my plants. Good value for the money and kept things from freezing. They’re still working so we’ll see if they work again next year.
